I'm actually debating whether to make a post about this or not but since I'm also a fan of this group I might as well.

Tonight, rumor about SM Entertainment and 3 members of DBSK namely, Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun who requested for a deposition requesting SM Entertainment to release them from their contract of 13 years is all over the new. This news is now the top search in any Korean portals. The lawyer of the 3 members made several statement today and from what I read the situation is not good.

- seems like a negotiation has been going on between SM and the 3 members for 2 months to remove the 'non-exclusivity clause' in their contract but they weren't able to settle any agreement.

- main reason of the 3 members for wanting to leave is the slave contract [examples of slave contract, an artiste has to first seek approval from their company before being able to go overseas (iHQ). An artiste must notify their company their present location at anytime of asking (Olive9, Fantom). An artiste lifestyle including companionship, schooling, citizenship, military enlistment, making friends, economic activities, socializing events, transportation will have to be consulted with the company (JYP Entertainment) in advance which interferes with a person’s personal life.]

- there was also a mention of the split in the earning with SM getting the a HUGE chunk of the pie [geez, 8:2!!! unbelievable! with the 2 to be divided to the 5 members]

Geez, it seems that it's happening again. There was H.O.T. before then Shinwha.

Btw, I also read something about cosmetic [CreaBeau a Chinese product] thing but this is not clear to me yet.

With this news fans are worried about DBSK breaking up. =( It was said that later [probably this weekend] Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun will be releasing their statement.

Aahh, i'm pretty sure this event is very stressful to the fans. And I remember SS501 whose contract is expiring next year.

Could Jae Joong, Micky and Hyun Joong seeing each other often something to do with the problem of JJ? I cannot help but think.

p.s. Late last year SM Ent together wit some other ent companies were on the news regarding slave contract. Early this year, LSM [president of SM] was in the news again regarding the company getting out of the red line. Now comes this news. I believe that DBSK is SM's top earner.

YunHo's drama will broadcast in September and he will be with Ko Ara. And in the rumor mill, ChangMin and YunHo are said to be staying with DBSK if things really get ugly.

But you know what? For so long the contract is binding all members must comply with it.

SM Ent statement after they had a board meeting tonight. "TVXQ is a band that represents Asia, TVXQ absolutely must continue actitivies." In addition, "The cosmetics company issue, will be resolved." [AllKPop]

See, the contract is still binding, but they're not out of the woods yet. This will surely have some effect on SM's stocks.

SS501's popularity increase because of leader Kim Hyun Joong.

Mnet Japan will start to show reality show "We Got Married" which Kim Hyun Joong acted in from 1st Aug. This program is an added bonus to SS501 publicity.

Starting from 17th Aug, Mnet will also broadcast TV programs which SS501 participated in since they debut. It will be a half year program and will be named "I love SS501".

Since leader Kim Hyun Joong acted in popular korean drama "Boys Over Flowers", the other members acting skill were also being discussed. Therefore, around mid August, another program "Break" acted by member Kim Kyu Joong will be telecasted.

From September, SS501 members special activities in fan meetings, romantic sky will be telecasted. Other variety programs like "SOS" will start from October onwards.

The next half year will be a busy year for SS501. The "Persona" Asia tour will continue to other Asia countries starting with Budokan, Japan. In the plans are Hong Kong & Taiwan on October, Thailand on November, Malaysia & Singapore on December.

I like all the hair style here and they're so cute. Love how Kyu Jong acted the hula dance... sexy. Again, poor Maknae is always the target of 'fun' by the members. Hee, did you see how he was perspiring after? Oh and it's so funny how it seems that the scoreboard is also picking on Maknae when Leader's photo was shown instead of him. ^^ Jung Min, he's such a cute bully and i love that smirk that he did before the start of the game. Leader, he's so nice to give credit the the boys when he got the highest point. But how was it a unicorn [Kyu Jong's answer]? Ahh, Leaders is not confident with Maknae that he said he's poor [in answering]. Lol, but when it was Jung Min's turn he's bribing him money to answer quickly. ^_^ I love it when Young Saeng is in action but he made several passes. The 'andeyo' and cat sound are cutey. And may I add that he's so cute when it is his chance to answer.

SS501 will hold their ‘ASIA TOUR in SEOUL, PERSONA’ for 2 days on 1~2 August at Seoul Olympic Park Gymnasium Stadium, and in order to show an even better image, they are practicing hard with AJ, who is the choreographer for Justin Timberlake and Usher.

AJ is currently in Korea to guide on SS501’s choreographs and has been with them for the rehearsals and practices, giving them guidance and advices. AJ is the best student of Fatima Robinson who is known to be Michael Jackson’s dancer teacher (?), he is currently in charge of choreography for Usher and Justin Timberlake, etc, and by foreign news media gave him high praises by naming him ‘Magic Feet’ when one sees his dances. Dancers praises him “I would say he is the best in the world”.

AJ, who arrived in Korea on 24th, said “I’ve watched many videos of SS501 before I came to Korea to meet them for the first time. SS501’s abilities and potentials are worth anticipating for, and I hope I can be assistance to them.”

SS501 will release for their very first time, 5 songs from their official 2nd album set to be released in mid-August. The new songs to be revealed have been selected, including their title song and follow-up song. The dance for their title song is wholly choreographed by AJ himself.

p.s.i've been going around other sites but it looks like there's nothing much about SS501 except news about their upcoming concert which we already know. Hopefully by tomorrow and Saturday before the concert we'll get to hear more interesting news and see some photos.

Lee Minho, Kim Bum and Kim Joon, will go to concert venue to congratulate SS501 Asia Tour .

F4 will gather in one place.

F4 members Lee MinHo, Kim Bum & Kim Joon, will attend ‘SS501 1st ASIA TOUR PERSONA IN SEOUL’ to be held on 1~2 Aug at Seoul Bangee-dong Olympic Park Gymnasium Stadium. These guys acted with SS501 member Kim HyunJoong in KBS 2TV drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ as ‘F4’, forming bonds with each other and thus would be going for his concert.

SS501’s company DSP Entertainment representative said “After the drama ended, F4’s friendship is still as strong as ever. Lee MinHo, KimJoon, etc, readily agreed to attend the concert to congratulate SS501’s first Asia Tour. Kim Bum who is currently busy with drama ‘Dream’, especially tuned his schedules so that he will be able to attend.”

F4 members voluntarily attended each others’ events and their ‘exchange of work’ friendship has been extending. This gathering is 4 months after Kim Bum’s birthday party cum fan meeting last April. At Lee MinHo’s fan meeting in June, Kim Bum couldn’t attend due to drama filming.

SS501 are practicing hard in order to show a brilliant performance for their first concert of the 1st Asia Tour. They are currently having their pre-concert rehearsal at Jangchung-dong Jangchung Gymnasium Hall where a similar stage of the actual stage has been set up. They will release 5 songs from their upcoming 2nd album, to be released in mid-Aug, during this Seoul concert. With the start of their Asia Tour in Seoul, they will continue with Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, HongKong, Taiwan, etc.

drama dilemma [edited links]

While waiting for more news about SS501, I thought of blogging a bit about the above topic. ^^

Sigh... there are so many dramas to watch with so little time. Actually, i think that this should be the real reason, I've been spending so much time with SS501 that I'm neglecting watching dramas. ^_^ ha...ha...

Anyway, you guys might think that I have all the time in the world to spend in front of my computer. Nah I don’t. It just so happen that I only sleep an average of 3 to 4 hours a day. I’m not sure if it’s sickness or what, but that’s the only time I spend everyday for sleeping.

Practically I’m awake for 20 hours and this 20 hours is not even enough for me to do all the things I want to do, much more even when I’m at home in front of my computer. There are some few dramas that I wanted to watch but like I said haven’t had the time. Likewise, I haven’t been helping much WithS2 since becoming one of the editors. But I think things will change a bit this weekend because I decided to help again in the editing and watch some K and J-dramas.

This weekend while I’ll be waiting for news about SS501 ^^ I’ll be watching ‘Dream’ since I’ve signed up in the editors' pool of this drama. The drama actually started this week but wasn’t able to watch online. I’m kinda excited about this drama [though I read of the low rating] since Kim Bum and Joo Jin Moo are there. But then, there are other dramas that I’m anticipating in watching and these are ‘Orthros no Inu’ which stars Takizawa Hideaki and Ryo Nishikido and ‘Buzzer Beat’ that stars Yamapi. Both J-drama are currently airing in Japan though Yamapi’s drama was aired earlier [about 2 weeks ago].

Anyway, for those who are curious about the ‘Orthros No Inu’, here’s an article that was emailed to me by my friend [sorry not sure who the source/s are but thanks for translation].

Takizawa, Nishikido battle in new drama

Hideaki Takizawa (27) has picked up his first starring role in a serial drama since 2005. He will share the screen with Ryo Nishikido.

The thrilling human drama has Takizawa playing the role of a mysterious and ambitious man with a wicked heart, who possesses the power to heal pain and illness with the touch of his hand. Nishikido, on the other hand, plays a high school teacher with a gentle heart, but who has the ability to kill with his touch. The two happen to meet, resulting in a battle of good and evil.

Takizawa's last starring role in a series was in the 2005 NHK taiga drama "Yoshitsune." Before that, he played the lead in Fuji TV's "Boku Dake no Madonna."

TBS will broadcast "Orthros no Inu" on Friday nights at 10:00pm, starting in July.

Male group SS501 plans to release 5 songs from their official 2nd album, which will be released in August, during their Asia Tour Seoul concert.

SS501’s company revealed “In the 2 days from 1st to 2nd August, they will release 5 songs from their official 2nd album during their Asia Tour Seoul Concert to be held at Seoul Olympic Park Gymnasium Stadium. These songs include their title song and the follow-up song.”

In addition, he added “SS501 is currently having their pre-concert rehearsal at Jangchung Gymnasium hall where we’ve set up the same stage layout as the actual concert. In order for the new songs not to be leaked out prior to the concert, the rehearsal was done with thorough security.”

This concert would be SS501’s first Asia Tour since their debut. I was just trying to decipher this news when I read it on khj0606 then I came across xiaochu’s translation on Quiante501. As always, much thanks for the translation, xiaochu.

Oh yeah, HJL is not a pretty boy. I agree… because he is handsome and manly [as what the other members of SS501 keep on saying on 'Starry Night'] ^_^. He said that he’s not meticulous nor he’s not bad. I think he’s saying the truth and just being straight forward about it so as not to let others expect too much from him. I believe that Kim Hyun Joong is the kind of guy who is more of a doer than a sweet talker.

Btw, I wonder when he was interviewed. He's hair style in the photoshoot is almost the same as his hair style when he guested in 'Starry Night' last Friday.

In MBC ‘Good Day’ broadcasted on 27-Jul, Kim HyunJoong’s photo shoot was revealed.

All of the them look soooooo handsome in the show. Maknae is so funny with is facial expressions and he's getting broader. Kyu Jong did a good job in doing the voice of harabojji and like what i mentioned earlier, I like his hair straight. Jung Min, though covered up, his chest is a distraction and I like his drawing. Hyun Joong is so handsome and sexy in black and I love Leaders's hair. Young Saeng is also looking handsome with his cute dimples showing. He seems to be in a very good mood last night. Oh yeah, i like his hair style though I think he got conscious a bit when the other members noticed the back. Did you noticed that both Hyun Joong and Young Saeng keep on coughing? I hope that it's nothing serious.

I hope that someone can upload them on YT and share the subs.

Btw, the lottery for the 2 big events in Tokyo Dome where in Yong Joon will be appearing happened yesterday. The 2 events I'm talking about is the September 29 for the 'WLS Anime Promo' and September 30 launching of 'Beauty of Korea' book. Fortunately not all Japanese baesisters [60,000 members] in the Japanese Official Board [JOB] won in the lottery. Anyway, to everyone who were able to win in the 2 days event, I'm so excited for all of you.

This article from Cool Music is a good read. I really really like how Kim Hyun Joong answered the questions whenever the interviewer would ask him about 'his' popularity. I really think that Leader is not comfortable when asked only about 'his' popularity. In this interview, he would always refer 'his' popularity as the group's popularity not only his. He's such a selfless leader and I think that the other members of SS501 are in unison about this characteristic of Hyun Joong [aside from being manly ^^]. Even Jung Min said something about leader participating in reality shown more than any other members was because of SS501 and not for leader's sake alone.

Likewise, I also like how the interviewer interjected in this article her observation of the SS501 members. Just like when she wrote how leader helped her silence the staff when leader ordered them to keep quiet with straight face, how leader was so helpful when he saw a staff carrying a table and many more about him. Also, I like it when she mentioned about the little accident that Jung Min had and how leader and maknae laughed at him. And, how Kyu Jong and Young Saeng got immersed in their own world.

Btw, the look of all members are kinda extreme last night. Hyun Joong and Young Saeng are both looking like they'll be having a date after the show. Jung Min looks like he's going home right after [will just remove the jacket, shades and pants] and then sleep. While Kyu Jong and Hyung Joon seems to be hanging out for a while in either house and will do a little more bonding. ^^

Before the stiffer law is implemented [it's actually 12mn now in Koea] and all videos in YT deleted by the 3 main broadcasters in Korea let me share with you this news from WideNews showing the NG from SS501 Drama MV from hoonfami.

Korea's Copyright Law ㅠㅠ

Stiffer law in will be implemented starting July 23. This is really BAD NEWS. =(

I'm pretty sure if this is really what I think about, my blog and other blogs as well as cafes, fora on korean drama, movies and music will be affected.

Here' what I read on soompi. Thanks to lordbordem for this.

Tomorrow is July 23rd, the start of the new copyright laws in Korea.

They have already started to hire people to monitor and enforce the new laws but the whole thing is still relatively unknown, no one really knows what constitutes a valid copyright infringement and what constitutes fair usage.

No one really knows how the 3 strikes policy is going to be monitored and enforced, or what the punishments are.

But good news for copyright holders, they now get MORE MONEY benefiting us all /sarcasm

i'll explain a bit further, under the new laws, the percentage given to copyright holders has now increased significantly (can't find the exact numbers right now but i'll post it when i find it).

This means there needs to be an increase in the cost of content to balance out the rest of the equation. i've heard numbers being thrown around of around 15% increase in the cost of CDs and so on. Nowcom seems to be using this as an excuse to make their mileage exchange program rather useless (This is in the Clubbox Tutorial Thread).

We won't really see the impact of these laws until they start enforcing them which could take atleast several weeks to several months, also since they have no power outside of Korea, not sure how they are planning to enforce these for foreign located servers.

There is also another issue popping up today and for the most part it's a big one.

It's the introduction and passing of the new 3 Media Laws in parliament.

The laws set out laws regarding IPTV and Media Company Ownership.

Big Point of contention being the ability for Newspaper companies and large corporation to own large stakes in Terrestrial Broadcasting Companies(MBC,KBS,SBS). They will now be allowed to hold up to 49% stakes in these broadcasters giving them huge saying power in the operation of these broadcasters.

Currently all 3 Broadcasters are on strike and there is a good chance it's going to impact what programs are going to air this week.

But there is also a deeper social issue with these laws, Giving a newspaper or company decision making power in a broadcaster is going to start affecting what the broadcasters can and cannot do. This is huge issue and it means broadcasters who lose their impartiality when dealing with issues that don't agree with their owners, Newspapers in Korea tend to be very biased left or right wing and rarely neutral.

There is also the issue of legality since the laws passed through parliament rather hastily and without proper conduct, but that's beyond the scope of this post.

Anyway that sums up whats been happening in the world of Korean Media Law in the last 2 weeks.

Now how is this going to affect us?

-Depending on how long the protests go for, we won't seeing any new episodes of dramas and variety shows starting from next week onwards or even as early as Saturday (there goes my Infinity Challenge for this week -.-")

-Most likely there won't be a change in the copyright laws for awhile (3 years minimum because that's how long the current government has left in power)

-They are targeting primarily heavy uploaders and encoders of content so it remains to be seen how long Ental has left to live

-Public Korean Torrent sites are also under caution and uploaders are being cautious

-They are predicting that half of Korean Blogs and Cafes will shut down before years end

-Buying Content legally will also become more expensive due to increases in royalty for copyright holders

-Nowcom hasn't said anything about their future directions for clubbox, pdbox or afrecca yet but all 3 services seem to contradict the new laws so their future isn't very clear cut.

-Small recap of the copyright laws, parodies are illegal, posting a UCC/Youtube video of you using copyrighted content is now illegal(this includes personal reenactments of song sheets, singing, parodies etc), Blogs and Cafes are also forbidden from posting links to such content , Postings made prior to the 23rd are also considered illegal and they plan to search through community archives to find them, screen grabs from dramas and shows are illegal.

That's about it, the post was a bit long but i had a fair bit to cover.

Not really sure what the next step is for now, everyone seems to be taking a wait and see approach, no one knows how severely the government is going to enforce these laws and until then everyone is going to stay cautious.

They could also find a way to enforce their laws overseas but that seems unlikely, possible but unlikely.

It is slightly exaggerated but the details are in there, probably best to ignore the comments left by readers as well because most of them are well "bad" (can't really swear in here ^^")

Here's my quick thoughts on this. The broadcasters may think that this is really good since they are really losing A LOT of money via downloads but I also think that this might also be a reason for the sudden drop hallyu overseas.

Kim HyunJoong showed his ability of selling out SamSung Haptic phone cover within a day of release on 21-Jul, through Samsungmobile.com website.

This product named as UFO cover, was designed by Kim HyunJoong himself. Kim HyunJoong’s design cover started selling on 21-Jul at 2pm, and ended on 22-Jul, 10am. This is the result of only 1 day. Kim HyunJoong’s design cover advance purchase has ended and has been currently removed from online shopping mall’s list. Kim HyunJoong’s design cover is sold at 9,000won, which means that he made nearly 9 million won close to 10 million won in a day. It is not too exaggerating to use ‘Kim HyunJoong effect’ to describe his high popularity.

Samsung Electronics put this product with singer Son Dambi’s design, heart patterned cover, for advance purchase from 21~25 July, and had since sold 1,000 pieces. Son Dambi’s design cover is still available as at 6pm, 22-Jul.

Samsung Haptic New CF

The new CF from Samsumng UFO Haptic Pop cf came out today. The cf is actually featuring the cover that was designed by Kim Hyun Joong. This cf has the complete F4 boys with ET. ^^

Actually the 31 seconds cf was not recently shot. I'm pretty sure that it's been shot during the 'Boys Over Flowers' time but only came out today. Though we've seen earlier the other version of the cf sans Lee Min Hoo.

Phenomenal drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’
premium event guest list has been confirmed.

Besides the fan event held in JCB Hall, Tokyo, last April, ‘Boys Over Flowers’ premium event will be held in National Convention Hall of Yokoyama on 6-Sep. ‘F4’ Kim HyunJoong, Kim Joon, Lee MinHo, Kim Bum and ‘Geum JanDi’ Goo HyeSun, together with group SS501 and T-MAX who sang the drama OST will attend to this event.

‘Boys Over Flowers’ official Japanese site webmaster IMX will undertake the production for this event.

Korean version of ‘Boys Over Flowers’ was first introduced through hallyu cable channel Mnet last April, and the drama will be broadcasted through the public channel TBS throughout Japan from 31-Jul onwards.

I saw this news in Quiante which was translated by SS5014ever/rj this morning but wasn't quiet interested until I read it again and saw that last paragraph. Did I read it right? Overseas fan meeting in mid-September? Where and when? I hope the DSP will soon release all skeds for the concert in Asia as well as fan meeting skeds because I want to reserve plane ticket soon since an airline company where I am at is offering 50% discount on fare book early. Please please pretty please... DSP release the skeds ASAP.

07/20 [news] Incheon plans to attract tourists via, Korean Wave Festival

Incheon and Incheon Tourism Organization announced on the 20th, in order to further promote "Global Fair & Festival 2009 Incheon, Korea" and "Visit Korea Incheon 2009", "Incheon Korean Wave Festival 2009" will be held.

Incheon Korean Wave Festival 2009, to be held on 22nd August at Incehon Munhak Stadium, will comprise of Korean Wave concert and Korean Wave fan meetings.

Super Junior, Girls Generation, SS501, 2Pm and Kara etc, the most popular groups in Korea, will participate in the concert, which will be broadcast via MBC's "Show Music Core".

Tickets for the concert are free, and only need to be applied for via the TV station or Gmarket in early August.

Frankly I haven't ordered my U R Man Special DVD yet because I thought I'll be going to Seoul to watch the PERSONA Concert. But unfortunately luck in not on my side. Seoul will have to wait for me until October. ^^

Anyway, after watching some of the videos recently uploaded and seeing these photos of cute Kyu Jong from kyujongfan.com I'm going to order pretty soon.

I like Kyu Jong is these photos and from the videso of from U R Man. But like what I said he is far better looking in person 501%. ^^

p.s. saw an article on SS601 regarding my 2 favorites, Bae Yong Joon and Kim Hyun Joong.


In the article it says that a survey was conducted to 100 Japanese journalist asking who amongst the Hallyu Stars is still #1. From the 1st generation of Hallyu Stars, Yong Joon remains to be on top. While in the next generation of Hallyu Stars, Kim Hyun Joong came in first. ^^

With this news, I'm the happiest. ^^ Oh, I hope that there be a translation of the article.

Guys, have you ever wondered if these fans taking photos of the boys are always present wherever SS501 are? They're just so amazing. I mean, taking great photos and always at any event where SS501 or each member are? I wonder how they do it? Do they have a designated photographers that follow SS501 ? Do they assign a member on a particular show to take photos? Or there is only one person who does take all these great photos? I'm really amazed with the dedication of whoever is taking the photos and unselfishly sharing them to all of us.

Btw, I just read on SS601 and kimhyungjoong.com that Kim Hyung Joon will have a recording for his solo stage on The M on Tuesday, July 21 for his solo song 'Hey G'. Not sure though when the airing will be. So with this, I'm guessing that Baby will be next in MuBank, Music Core and Inkigayo. Hee, though I'm still betting for Kyu Jong to be the next. ^^

Full KKBox Exclusive Interivw with Eng Subs

I've posted yesterday SS501 KKBox interview in parts and without subs though a bit of translation was provided for us by Hui_7.

I found the complete interview this morning in shirbogurl21 YT with English subs! The video is more than 5 minutes and it's so funny especially Hyun Joong and Hyung Joon they just can't stop chatting. I like how Hyun Joong keep on glancing at Jung Min. At the beggining of the video, I like it much when Young Saeng laughs at something about what Hyun Joong said about hardest time. Like what I said earlier, no one's listening to Kyu Jong, except Young Saeng, when he talked about fun and hardest times. Again, poor Baby always being the target of Hyun Joong and Jung Min's joke.

Yeah yeah I know we've seen so many videos of the PressCon in TW. Honestly speaking, I've lost track already of what I've posted and what I've watched. Seems like they're all the same now.

In the PressCon more or less we already know what's been going on there since we've read translations from interviews and seen videos with sub-titles.

The exclusive interview of SS501 with KKBox is so funny. Most of them are hardly listening to members when talking. They keep on teasing or talking. I think that only Young Saeng listens. ^^ I hope we get to understand what's being said in the exclusive interviews. I'm so curious about the bubbles especial in part 6 when Baby was sort of massaging Leader's arm. Btw, I understand that each member were asked what's their happy and hard times.

Part 2 : Hyun Joong was asked to give assign a role to each member from 'Boys Over Flowers'

He said that Jung Min should be Gu Jun Pyo. Young Saeng as So Yi Jung. Kyu Jong is Song Wo Bin and Hyung Joon is the guy whom Jun Pyo poured tomato juice in Episode 1. Poor Baby ^^



Part 3 : Leader's happiest moment : To win different awards after striving hard for their career.

Toughest moment: he said something like "today.." the moment you wake up everyday, he kinda feel the stress because everyday, the fan base grows(so i guess he feels the stress of doing even better), the responsibility also grows.



Part 4 : Young Saeng : happiest and toughest is both fulfilling his dream as singer. happy becos when he walked on the streets, people recognized him..sad is also because people recognised him, he lost his freedom.



Part 5 : Hyung Joon : Happiest is when he 1st become singer and stepped onto the stage
(at this moment,leader turned n talk to JM, n baby's OS was like can you both stop chatting?! haha) toughest is when they are producing albums.



Part 6 : Poor Kyu Joong, nobody listens to him except for Young Saeng. Baby and Leader are talking and fooling each other. While Jung Min [as always] being charming with the press by giving a pose.

Kyu Joong : happiest is because his dream's becoming a singer, when he received awards, he was really happy. and also when they leave Korea and meet fans from other countries, he's happy to see fans' encouragement n support.
toughest is when they have to come out with more n more challenging dance choreo for every album and he feels that they are getting older,dancing become harder but they will work hard.



Part 7 : Jung Min : he always feels that he's very blessed so every moment is a happy moment to him. (at this pt, baby commented "what's he talking abt?")
toughest: it's at moment like this when he's seriously talking but there're others who interrupts him with some nonconstructive comments..he felt tired and heartache..haha(referring to Baby).



Part 8 : Again Leader makes fun of Baby. He said that he'll assign him to wash his clothes and do the cleaning. He'll use him as his maid. ^^

I guess the following photos were taken during the taping of MuBank. I like Jung Min's outfit. Because he's tall and his shoulders are wide, the simple statement shirt topped with a short sleeves knitted that's styled like bat wings in front look perfectly well on him.

I've watched his performance in MuBank several times and I must say that he's so good though he sounded a bit nervous in the beginning and a little off when he and Ji Sun sang together.

Btw, I like his hair here and even his make up. Glad too that his make up artist didn't put any eyeliner on him.

Its been really tiring on fans for SS501's visit to Taiwan! From buying tickets to the fan meeting to queuing overnight for the charity photo-taking, it has attracted the attention of many media. But there were 5 lucky fans who, within 5 hours of SS501 stepping off the plane, got to take photos alone with the artistes first, and also the chance to give them a present (seems as if someone managed to shake their hands as well!) Here, we must specially thank the record company for their support, letting KKBOX members to enjoy this rare and exclusive present. Holding on to the conscience of a music platform (?), even though we were faced with an idol group, 99% of the questions in the interview were serious (solemn?), but luckily SS501 is indeed the strongest variety-program characters (note: it means something along the line of them being very funny, sorry for the failed translation XD), many interesting footage remain, here we also thank them for giving us such wonderful interview content.

Having debut 4 years ago, already a top boys group in Korea, originally having a group of dedicated fans in Taiwan, due to Korea's version of "Boys over Flower" airing in Taiwan, leader Kim Hyun Joong who acted as the role of Yoon Ji Hoo (Hanazawa Rui), brought them fame overseas, finally letting SS501's works to be sold in Taiwan. Along with this wave of SS501's strong attack on Taiwan, KKBOX snatched a rare chance to interview them, understanding the success stories of the 5 boys.

"Genius is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration" - Edison

Using Edison's famous quote on SS501, it should be "Success is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration!" The 5 members are all handsome boys over 180cm tall, they were promoted as a pretty boy group back when they debut in Korea, but if you think SS501 are just pretty boys, then you're absolutely wrong. In the stiff competition in Korea's entertainment industry, not only does SS501 have to posses top dancing and singing abilities, satisfying the requirements of being a singer, they've also separately took part in hosting radio, TV programs, movie dubbing, musical and drama appearances, continually maintaining an obvious presence in the media. Recently they've also often took part in the creation and production of music, gearing for a more all-rounded development. Apart from their success in Korea, after working hard in Japan for 2 years, SS501 who've accumulated a high popularity, has already announced their August concert schedule in Japan and Korea, and plan to start their Asia Tour, which includes Taiwan, from October, it can be foreseen that from 2009 on, SS501 will become a megastar that will engulf Asia. Unlike the entertainment industry in Taiwan, Korean artistes generally need to go through hellish training as a trainee, and be picked among tens of thousands for debut. When asked about their experiences as trainees, Jung Min simply said, it was hard work as a trainee, having many music and dance trainings, but the most important is to train them to become popular artistes. When talking about the hardships, what everyone thought of was the fun experience of skipping lessons instead, leader Hyun Joong first admitted, back then he would be thrifty and take the bus, once he had saved up enough he would want to go for a sumptuous meal, so everyone would skip classes together and take a break. Jung Min continued saying, Yong Saeng and Kyu Jong came from other towns, when they came to Seoul and were looking for a place to stay, it was something that the 2 of them could do, and yet they pulled everyone in, skipping class together. SS501's casual answers, causes one to have no choice but be in awe of Koreans' ability to endure hardships.

Before SS501's debut, a TV program recorded their life, in these few years from waking up to sleeping, every aspect of their lives has been aired on TV, when asked about how they feel being followed by a camera for the whole day, Kyu Jong honestly answered, before they debut their management company had mentally prepared them for it, as an artiste there are gains and losses, currently they've also gotten many concern and attention from the fans, so its worth it. Jung Min added on, if he had to choose again, he'll still choose to reveal his personal life. Hearing such a determined answer, was a great shock to this reporter who listened to Western music while growing up, and continued asking what if they couldn't handle the pressure? The first to shout run away was Hyung Joon, the other older brothers (Hyung Joon is the youngest among the members) all laughingly replied in perfect unison, "Only Hyung Joon will run away, we will work even harder to overcome it." This form of interaction, putting each other down jokingly, among the members, is probably the answer to how SS501 relieves stress.

When asked about their happiest and hardest moments in their 4 years, the members all agreed that the happiest moment is every "first time". First time visiting Taiwan, first time winning an award, first time being recognized on the streets, interacting with the different fans as they step onto different countries for the first time. And the hardest moment is actually the stress and responsibility that comes after becoming successful, producing even better music, performing even more magnificent dance steps, displaying a SS501 that's even better. An answer like this, I think would let all of SS501's fans feel proud, with thoughts like that, its more worth looking forward to SS501 in the future.

On the whole, if Korea's entertainment industry was described in baseball terms that Taiwanese are familiar with, it's a little similar to America's Major League Baseball, first achieving good results in Minor League Baseball, once you're called up, not only do you have to grab hold of the chance to display your skills, you'll also need to make full use of your skills continually, only then can you retain a spot in Major League Baseball. Contestants who've gone through such a cruel stage, regardless of what country they go to, will be able to shine. In this wave of Hallyu brought by SS501, apart from the media's multiple reports on the popularity of "star-chasing", having deeply experienced the story behind the force that brought about this strength, I can't help but admit, there are definitely many points worth learning from for Taiwan.

Vote for Kim Hyun Joong in 2009 Seoul Drama Awards

Have you heard of the 2009 Seoul Drama Awards?

Well, this award giving body has already opened its website to gather votes online for Best Drama, Best Actor and Best Actress. The line up looks kinda tough. One Anonymous reader as me to share in my blog the link to make a vote for Kim Hyun Joong since he's one of the nominees for Best Actor for the drama 'Boys Over Flowers'. He's competing with some A listers actors as well as his co-stars in BoF. I was trying to check the website as to how the mechanics of the winners will be chosen since I want to know how many percentage does voting online constitutes the outcome of the winner but I couldn't find it. I'm pretty certain that this award is NOT solely based by voting.

Anyway, KHJ is currently on the 2nd spot after Lee Jun Ki. From what I've been seeing in some SS501 fora and KHJ sites, KHJ fans and Triple S are rallying to put KHJ on the 1st place. Voting period started July 13 and will end on August 31. If you want to help and put KHJ in the #1 spot, click HERE to vote.

I actually read this news yesterday but didn't quite took it seriously until I read the English translation of lynnzhoulily which she shared on BYJ thread @ soompi.

Snowkin on loveyongjoon shared that according to Innolife.net, BYJ has begun a life in seclusion till the end of Sept. Before his Japan trip in this Sept, BYJ will focus on his travel book for the final stage and he will no longer be available by cell phone. Only one manager will accompany him and if there is any emergency, he will be able to get connected through public phone.

I guess that Yong Joon is already in the final leg of the book that will be published in September. This also means that there'll be less news about him in the coming days.

Some might ask, who is Mgr Yang? Mrg Yang is one of the Directors of Boundaries of Forest [BOF] and a close friend of Yong Joon. The reason why I'm including him in this post is because there's this news going around Bae community that Mgr Yang is going to get hitched on August 21.

What's the big fuss, some might ask? Well, it just so happen that in Bae community, Mrg Yang is the 2nd most famous man. He's nice, young and quite handsome. He's also friends to many other stars too.

With the news of him getting marriend, there are rumours that there is a tour company that organizing a tour for the important day of Mgr Yang and that the tour is already sold out.

I'm sure many Mgr Yang 'fans' are quite shocked to read this news. I wonder how they're taking this. ^^ Hmm, Yokee do you still visit my blog? bb, 'your' mgr yang is getting hitched. ^_^ Only Yong Joon is left.

After seeing Hyun Joong yawning, you felt like yawning too? Or did you just yawned? ^^ Hee, honestly I yawned. ^_^ Not only once but several times whenever I see the photos of him yawning.

Poor Leader, he seems so sleepy, right? Actually in the KAC event last Monday, HJL was not caught once but twice yawning.

Before you go on reading let me just share what I thought of the boys. ^^

Jung Min is such a darling, right? I like how he flirted with the interviewer. Geez, if I'm her i'll surely be blushing from head to toe. But she's also witty. I like it when she asked Jung Min to come home with her. Ah, I wonder how Jung Min looked when he heard that question. But of course Jung Min can't be outwitted and asked her to marry her. Aww, such cute convo. I wish I was her!

Young Saeng's secret! I lol-ed when Hyun Joong mentioned that he lit some candles when they're getting emotional. ^^ Now who would have thought that these two are awkward, right? Btw, he finds girls attractive when biting elastic band and about to tie her hair. Hey i've looong hair and I'm always in ponytail. I should have done that when he was looking at our side. ^_^

It's sad to know that Kyu Jong is still afraid of dogs. I wonder what made him afraid of dogs. They're such cute creatures and I love them.

I really like what Hyun Joong's said about them always seeing each almost everyday of their life...'5 of us are one'.

And Baby, since it was revealed earlier that he's the laziest member of SS501 I'm not surprised with his answer that he wants girls that can cook and feed him. ^^

KyuJong Worked At BBQ restaurant, String Meats Together

KyuJong’s experience of working part time is in relation to food. He worked at a BBQ restaurant before, stringing pieces of chicken meat together. He said “I had to put 3 pieces of chicken meat together in one stick putting an onion between the meats, and I had to do that every day when I worked there.” The hyper-active JungMin cuts in and said “Ah~Why do I feel that KyuJong is still doing this job now, it is like I smelt the BBQ smell here~” And YoungSaeng has not much experience of working part time, he indicated that he has only worked in a convenient shop before. JungMin’s mother was “yakult mother”, selling yakult on her motorbike, and the filial JungMin helped his mother by promoting the advantages of drinking yakult.

The One & Only Secret Among Members

SS501 has been together for a few years now, are there anything that happened among yourselves which is not known to others? Leader HyunJoong said “Everyone has been together for a long time, there is no secret which can be kept from each other.” However, when we talked about topic on hot spring, JungMin disclosed a secret of HyungJoon unexpectedly “Even though our members have known each other for 5 years, but HyungJoon is still not willing to bathe or soak in hot spring with the rest. Thus, ‘HyungJoon’s naked body’ should be the biggest secret among SS501 members. Anyway, this is still a puzzle among us.”

Little Touching Events Happening Everyday

Have SS501 done anything that is touching for the other members? These guys started to crush on their heads when they heard “touching”, JungMin jokingly requested “Everyone cry now!” Then the rational leader jumped out to say “Everyone is leading a normal life, there is nothing particularly touching that happened. However, every little thing in life may make us feel touched. For example, when the weather is hot and a member taking a drink for me, I would feel his kindness, this is also a form that makes us touched.” JungMin said “When HyunJoong is filming drama, everyone would go and visit him together. When I was acting in a play, they would come and watch, such incidents makes me very touched.”

Start of Asia Tour, First Stop Seoul

During the interview, SS501 also announced their Asia Tour which will start off on 1,2 August in Seoul, Korea. Tour stop in Taiwan is scheduled between October to December, hope that everyone can support them for the concert, and also welcome Taiwan fans to fly over to Korea for the Seoul concert. With regards to the contents of the concert performance, leader HyunJoong said “Each concert will be designed for the fans, like for Korea and Taiwan fans, we would use different methods to satisfy everyone. During this period, we will do our best to plan and come out with a very good concert performance.” Members created a commotion saying if the concert requires stripping of top to display their muscles, this mission would be given to HyungJoon, and jokingly said that it is because his body is very cheap.

? Your Deepest Impression During Your 3 Days in Taiwan?

JungMin: Eating the delicious xiaolongbao.

KyuJong: Seeing a lot of fans the moment we arrive at the airport, taking photos with 1,000 fans individually after the fan meeting.

HyunJoong: Fans giving us snack wherever we go, Taiwan snacks is delicious.

YoungSaeng: A lot of delicacies, suits my taste, I’ve a feeling of familiarity in Taiwan though it is my first visit here.

HyungJoon: Heard that a lot of fans started queuing 1 week before the fan meeting, I’m very touched by it. Hope that we can have a concert in Taiwan this year and everyone can attend.

? Holding a fan meeting in Taiwan for the first time, anything special that happened?

HyunJoong: After the fan meeting ended, I saw a lot of Taiwan female fans riding on motorbike following our car, this is quite rare in Korea.

JungMin: Fans pitching tents outside the venue, queuing for 1 week in order to attend the fan meeting.

HyungJoon: Taiwanese fans are very hot (very enthusiastic), even more enthusiastic than I’ve imagined, especially during the encore performance, everyone stood up and jump, I was so touched!


Leader Guarantees an Exciting Performance

For HyunJoong who undertakes the responsibility as the leader of SS501, he emphasizes this when we talked about their upcoming concert “Our concert will definitely be very interesting from the start to the encore performance, not only would we sing and dance, there would be other more exciting performance, hope everyone can look forward to it!” Even though this concert will not have any special guests appearance by other singers but mainly displays their group as a whole, the Taiwanese singers that SS501 hopes to collaborate with are Jam Hsiao, Jolin Tsai, Vic Zhou and Fahrenheit.

HyunJoong Makes a Hilarious End

Then how is SS501’s feelings on their first trip to Taiwan? Leader HyunJoong replied on behalf of his members “Coming to Taiwan this time, we were a little surprised to see so many fans at the airport to welcoming us, we would like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm, we are really very happy. In addition, JungMin chanced upon FANS magazine’s reporter during this interview, hope that both of them can have a great development on their relationship, wishing them together for a long time!” Once he finished, all the members burst out laughing once again.

Fans Version of We Got Married

What? Did I hear wrongly! For the first 25 minutes of the interview, leader HyunJoong has kept his rationality and cool, but never did I expect that at the last minute he would mess it up, did he want me get killed by the vast SS501 fans? Or that he thought he was back at the variety program ‘We Got Married’ which he participated previously? Anyway, this interview went out of course unexpectedly, but resulting in some laughing, so hope fans can read this as a joke, don’t ANTI me alright! Requesting for SS501 fans’ forgiveness~ I swear to do good interviews of SS501 for the rest of my life~ SS501, Mansae! Sincerely, peace!

? Besides being an entertainer, is there any other jobs you plan to take on?

HyungJoon: I want to be a boss, I like the feeling of working with a group of people.

YoungSaeng: I want to learn more about composing and be a composer.

HyunJoong: Actually I want to continue being a singer, but if HyungJoon becomes a boss, I want to be the CEO whom he reports to and manages him, haha.

KyuJong: I hope to move towards the big screen, to become a movie actor.

JungMin: I am a multi-player, I can do anything, can be a plumper or electrician, singer, boss, nothing I cannot do, haha.


On 28-Jun at 7.30pm, SS501 came all the way from Korea to hold their fan meeting at TICC with over 3,000 fans. At the fan meeting, they sang a total of 6 songs, in the interview, JungMin and HyungJoon prank on each other, making the whole event even more fun! In the middle of this event, they unexpectedly walk down to the walkway at the audience seat area, giving red roses to the lucky fans, making these fans who received the flowers so happy! After that, through random draw of ticket numbers, 5 fans were invited to go up the stage to take polaroid with SS501. HyunJoong’s fan is very petite, so he knelt down to match with this fan for the photo. JungMin suddenly carried the fan up for the photo taking, immediately making the other fans shout.


6/29 SS501 Commemoration Press Conference

Before SS501 ended their Taiwan trip from 27-Jun till 29-Jun, they held an official ‘Commemoration Press Conference’ for the Taiwan media at level 1 of Grand Hyatt which they’ve stayed in.

Won Golden Disk, Took the Lead to do Charity

At the press conference, SS501’s 2 albums released in Taiwan “SS501 Super Hits – Super Collection” and “SS501* 1st Solo Album – Solo collection” honorably won the golden disk the moment it was released, so they especially award to them a golden disk to commemorate it. SS501 also donated all the extra amount that they’ve received for the fan meeting to a charity organization “United Way of Taiwan”. It is no wonder they are the role model of idol group since they lead their fans to do charity on their first trip in Taiwan. They’ve had such a good result even though this is the first time they release an album in Taiwan. YoungSaeng, who is the least talkative among the members, said on behalf of his members “We hope to have more chances in the future to come to Taiwan to see our fans here.”

Forgetting Lyrics, Forgetting Dance Steps, Sorry

I made myself there for all the schedules that SS501 were scheduled for. Be it during the interviews or at the fan meeting or at the commemoration press conference, we are able to feel that JungMin, who is the most hyper-active among them, is the mood-maker in any open events, he is good at making jokes of variety-show levels. At the press conference, he continues to goof around and joke around. When he was being disclosed by the other members that he is the one that always forgets lyrics, forget dance steps, he pretended to be serious and said “I felt really regretful that I was chosen by my members to be the one who forgets the lyrics the most. Hope that it will not happen again.” And about being chosen as the one who always forgot the dance steps, he explained “I only danced accordingly to how I felt!”


JungMin Eats Anything – Drinks Beer and Dances

And when they are vote for “The member who loves to eat?”, the votes became more decentralized. Some pointed to JungMin, some pointed to YoungSaeng, but JungMin still won by 1 vote. So how much does he loves to eat? Leader HyunJoong said “JungMin is usually very thrifty, but he is willing to splurge on food. And most people would be more or less not used to food in a foreign country, but he has no problem in any countries, he really does know how to enjoy eating.” JungMin quickly replied with a Korean idiom towards this ‘accusation’, “People say to eat good and filled, you’ll be pretty even if you die.” Everyone started laughing after he said this and he was being requested to drink Taiwan beer as a penalty. He stood up happily and cheers to everyone before drinking it at one shot with the members shouting “one shot, one shot!” beside him. On the other hand, KyuJong is curious about the cup-shaped ceiling lamp and jokingly suggested to pour Taiwan beer in the cup-shaped lamp to drink. HyungJoon who loves to bicker with JungMin said “After drinking the beer, JungMin would have trouble looking for his room later!” JungMin also danced to his specialty, tap dancing, upon reporter’s request.

HyunJoong Too Lazy To Get Out Of Bed – Even Burglary Won’t Wake Him

They continued to ask the members to vote for ‘Member who usually too lazy to get out of bed” during the press conference. This question is also a all-win vote, HyunJoong got the ‘support’ from the rest of the members without doubt, even he also pointed to himself using the ‘cutie finger pointer’. He admitted “I am actually the person who loves sleeping the most among our members. When we just debut, I am not able to wake up even if there’re 50 or 100 phone calls to me, I may not even realize even if there is a burglary. But I’ve improved now, being able to wake up if someone calls for 5 times.” And when they were being asked who is the person that is most popular with females, all of them became humble and shy, indicating that they’re all popular with girls because each have different types of charms attracting different types of girls.

YoungSaeng Became Less Talkative, HyunJoong Dismantle Microphone

SS501 debuted for 4 years, how has the members change? KyuJong said “I was a quiet person, but after interaction with the talkative JungMin over the years, I am more talkative now.” JungMin said “KyuJong was more passive in the past, he is more cheerful now.” YoungSaeng is the opposite of KyuJong, he said “I’ve became less talkative, I’m more and more frightened of media and cameras, just like now I am perspiring.” While everyone is replying to this question seriously, HyunJoong is seriously immersed in the world of his own, playing with the mic in his hand, even opening the battery cover to investigate the structure. The production staff thought that his mic is not working and went up to him to ask him, and he said “I just wanted to know if the mic in Taiwan is different from that of Korea.” Indeed showing us that he is Kim HyunJoong who lives in his own 4th dimensional world.


HyunJoong Acting is Good, Members All Agree

Kim HyunJoong, who has become good friends with Lee MinHo after ‘Boys Over Flowers’, heard from him who went to Taiwan earlier than them, that ‘Boys Over Flowers’ is very popular in Taiwan, and fans would go to the airport to welcome them, also reminding him not to be taken aback by Taiwan fans. And Kim HyunJoong also expressed that he felt the enthusiasm of these Taiwan fans. Before Kim HyunJoong took up the role in ‘Boys Over Flowers’, he had watched Taiwan and Japan version of the drama. He thinks that Taiwan F4 and Makino are handsome and pretty. And the host deliberately asked the other 4 members how they thought of HyunJoong’s performance in the drama? HyunJoong became shy and covered his face, not daring to see if the members nod or shake their heads. But the members all nodded in approval of his acting skill.

Promised To Return By Year End, Wave Goodbye

Ending the press conference, SS501 took Cathay Pacific Airways CX531 at 8.20pm to Hong Kong, their 2nd stop for Asia Tour Fan Meeting. There are about 600 fans who sent them off at the airport. Because there were really too many fans and they are too enthusiastic, Leader HyunJoong almost fell, his clothes and bag were almost pulled off from him, even the wooden hand railing of the staircase leading to level 2 of the airport fell off! The 5 guys were so grateful towards the enthusiastic fans that they went towards the glass window prior to going through the custom check and waved to their fans for about 5 minutes. Fans responded by screaming enthusiastically. The other tourists in the airport are curious about this huge commotion and stayed around to watch. SS501 also promised before leaving Taiwan, that they would come back for a concert by the end of this year, hoping that the fans can wait for them!

New record for most number of activities

On 27-June, SS501 started their busy schedules in Taiwan not long after they got off the plane. This is also the first time in history for a Korean artiste coming to Taiwan with so many activities to attend to, which we can see how sincere and how much they value their fans in Taiwan. Not only are the Taiwan fans touched by this but I am also being touched a little. The media took turns to interview them in a conference room at Warner Music. FANS magazine was originally scheduled to interview at 4.30pm but it was delayed a little as the boys were extremely friendly towards Taiwan media and answering to all questions given to them. Our magazine interview started only at 5.30pm, but the wait was worthwhile, why? Hehe! Read on and you’ll find out!
First Impression is Friendly & Courteous

I was wearing a yellow long-top on that day. The moment when I stepped into the conference room, I saw 5 big boys politely saying “Welcome” in Chinese and applauded (I’d give an additional 5 marks to them for this. Friendliness is 100%)! In order to help the readers of FANS magazine to win over the hearts of SS501, I immediately praised them that they’re very handsome in person. I also introduced myself as “Miss Banana”. Maybe I was seen being too hyper from the beginning, and it triggered off the ‘deviated and funny’ 30-minute interview!

Wants to Marry a Taiwanese Wife

Firstly, the first question that I asked was “Which type of girl does SS501 think is the most suitable to be marry?” HyungJoon answered first “Taiwanese girls!” JungMin teased him and said “That’s a lie!” HyunJoong, KyuJong and YoungSaeng agreed with HyungJoon saying “Yes, Taiwanese girls are very enthusiastic which we’ve experience it immediately after landing here!” And JungMin refusing the admit defeat said “I am the one who love Taiwanese girls the most!” And even used perfect English to say “I love Taiwan!”

? The most memorable, most unforgettable thing since debut?

HyunJoong: When we won the best newcomer award in Korea a few years ago, I was very happy as I felt that we received the recognition from everyone. I hope that we can share our joy with Taiwan fans promptly whenever we win an award in the future.

KyuJong: During SS501’s debut stage, and the first time when I see our group name appearing everywhere. These are memorable to me. And my nervousness for this first visit to Taiwan will also be unforgettable for life to me.

HyungJoon: Our 100 days of debut is memorable to me.

After some bickering among the members, rational leader HyunJoong saved me (I’m really so thankful) and quickly brought them back on topic. They answered seriously “I like girls who are like friends to me.” YoungSaeng continued “The girl I like must definitely be good at cooking and knows how to clean up, tidying up the place.” KyuJong said “I like girls who can cook! And I hope my future wife will be good to me as well as to my family.”

Cheeky JungMin Teasing Reporter

I thought I was going to go on to the next question, but JungMin started to continue talking about his criteria of choosing his wife in a “serious” manner. I never expected this as the beginning of being teased by him! JungMin intentionally spoke in a serious manner “I like girls who are dark-skinned, very confident and her hair tied up. Gold is a rather out-dated color in Korea, so if a girl chooses to use this color, that means that she is very brave. I admire girls who are brave. In addition, girls who wear jean, it shows their figure the best! The last criteria is that I like girls who can show her charm by wearing a yellow clothing, haha.”

Humorous and Funny, Everyone Laughs Out

After JungMin finished his speech on ‘Choosing a wife’, SS501 members and the staff were almost rolling around in laughter. The sound volume is almost blowing off the conference room. And at that moment, all the people’s eyes were on me, so embarrassing! Let me admit to all of you who were not here~ What JungMin had listed was exactly what I’ve worn that day and my natural skin tone. He is really cheeky to be teasing me like that! Anyway this incident made us discover SS501’s humor unexpectedly, and their initiative to integrate with others.

Topic on Love Confession Continues On

Keeping the motto of FAN magazine ‘Helping fans interact with idols’ in mind, I will be tossing aside ‘reporter’s baggage’ temporarily in the upcoming interview time, and continue to be a ‘comedian’ with JungMin to continue on with the topic! I said to JungMin intentionally “Since you have confessed to me, then come home with me tonight!” A roar of laughter came when SS501 heard this. I continued to ask JungMin “How is it? Are you having cold feet?” JungMin said “The progression is too fast! Will you marry me?”
? Exposing of Secrets of Other Members?

HyunJoong: I think YoungSaeng is more of a 4th-dimensional person among us. Once I was at his house and when we started talking about more emotional stuffs, he suddenly ran into the room and lit some candles. He even forgot that he lighted the candles and almost burned the house. Haha.

YoungSaeng: Every time we rode on our company car, JungMin likes to sit in the front passenger seat. There was once he saw our company car in front and raced towards it, I don’t know what he is trying to do~ (JungMin explained: I raced towards it because I felt that I can run as fast as a car!)

JungMin: HyungJoon always wear his underwear in a bath, I don’t know what’s so mysterious about it. KyuJong’s chest line along the collar bone is very deep because he exercises frequently. (Thus KyuJong began to demonstrate the exercise that enhances the chest line~)

HyungJoon: There was once when I wanted to wake JungMin up, but realized that he had disappeared. He is actually hiding under the blanket eating! (JungMin explained: It feels very cozy to eat under the blanket. He even promise with everyone to try eating like this.)

HyunJoong Sighs There Is No Day Off For Leader

My second interview question is: “What does SS501 want to do during your day off?” Leader HyunJoong said solemnly “Day off…eh…there is no day off for leader.” Cheeky JungMin replied “Go get married when there is a day off!” Ahh~ Why does the old topic comes up again? I, who is determined to be a comedian for this interview, cannot lose to JungMin. So I asked the other members if they wanted to attend to JungMin’s wedding during their day off. SS501 broke into laughter and agreed in unison that they would most definitely attend to JungMin’s wedding together during their day off.

Hope to be Overseas Volunteers Together

When our topic was deviated previously, it was SS501’s leader who stepped in to save it. This time, it was KyuJong who brought the topic back on track, he said “If we have a chance to go on leave, we would like to go travelling with 5 of us together.” HyungJoon said “I would like to go to Iraq, to do volunteer work there with our members, helping the people in need. Because SS501 has received a lot of love so we would like to return our favors to the society.” YoungSaeng on the contrary, likes Taiwan very much and would like to return here for a holiday.

5 of Them Sees Each Other Almost Everyday

I am a little taken aback that SS501 members want to be together even in their day offs though they have been already seeing each other so frequently at work! Won’t they feel sick of each other when they see each other so frequently? Or that a holiday wouldn’t feel like a holiday at all when all members attended? Leader HyunJoong said “Frankly speaking, we are really seeing each other almost everyday. About 360 days out of the 365 days in a year. Rather than saying ‘feeling sick of’, if we don’t see each other, we would feel weird or not used to it, that is because 5 of us are one.”
HyungJoon Worked Part-Time at Steak House

During their promotional activity in Taiwan, it is the summer holiday here, so is it usual for Korean students to work part time during their holidays? What are the working experiences that SS501 has prior to debut? Leader HyunJoong said “It is normal for Korean students to work part-time too. They would deliver newspapers or be a waiter in restaurants just like Taiwan students.” HyungJoon worked at a steak house before, and JungMin softly exposed “He was fired because he skipped work!” So HyungJoon turned to him and stared at JungMin who spouted the nonsense, giving him a warning with his stares, while JungMin pinched HyungJoon on his back.

KyuJong: I am afraid of dogs, so any girl who doesn’t bring a dog out would attract me. Keke.

HyunJoong: A girl wearing a hat sitting on a mat under a banyan tree during summer, early autumn would attract me.

Lee SoRa expressed her special feelings
for singer SS501 Kim HyunJoong.

Recently through appearance in MBC Yoo JaeSuk Kim WonHee’s “Come to Play – MC Queen Special”, Lee SoRa chose Kim HyunJoong in the section “Ranking 123 as I like” for the question “The guy I would go after if I am 10 years younger”.

She also revealed an incident of how she struggled to be able to see Kim HyunJoong. Lee SoRa said inducing a roar of laughter, “In one event where I was the judge, SS501 came as the guest. I wanted to see Kim HyunJoong so much that I went to the dressing room even though I am not required to and asked ‘Is Mr Kim HyunJoong around?’”

She added “Kim HyunJoong was not in the dressing room, but I met SS501 along the hallway and I was so surprised that I entangled my own step. However, Kim HyunJoong is still not there.” After expressing the regretful incident, she said “Finally I was only able to see him on stage singing and disappointedly ended the event.”

But seems like the real incident happen after the event. Lee SoRa confessed “On the highway back to Seoul, I chanced upon the car which SS501 were in and out of urgency, I said ‘After them’”, making the other guest concentrated on hearing her confession.

‘Come to Play’ MC Kim WonHee will also join as a guest for this broadcast of MC Queen episode. Lee SoRa, Noh SaYeon, HyunYoung, etc will display their magnificent eloquence. Did Lee SoRa manage to meet Kim HyunJoong? The answer will be revealed on 13-Jul, 11.10pm through ‘Come to Play’.
