SS501 tattoo shirts

We first saw them wear their tattoo shirt on Inkigayo last Sunday. And it seems that there were mixed emotions on the attire. Honestly I didn't like the shirt too but didn't have the time to blog about it because of my flight going back home last Sunday.

Anyway, today at the lobby of the hotel where I was staying for the past 3 days due to work I saw two Koreans wearing [almost?] the same shirt. Likewise, at the Club floor where I was having my snacks before checking out I saw a lady wearing a sleeve tattoo on her right arm. It seems that fad tattoo shirts and sleeves are 'in' again.

10/30 [news] SS501 “Overseas Fans Support, Thank you”

Group SS501 smiled at the passionate support from overseas visiting fans.

About 100 SS501 fans from Japan, China, Taiwan, etc were here to follow all of SS501’s schedules for one week, expressing their love for them. SS501’s Kim HyungJoon said “Many fans from overseas were here to follow us on our various schedules. It has been over a week since we started our activities in Korea, but these overseas fans have not returned back home and are still around to support us. I am touched by their passionate support and love everyday.”

SS501 appeared in music program ‘Kim JungEun’s Chocolate’ recently at SBS Open Hall in DeungChon-dong, Seoul. There were about 300 overseas fans on this day’s recording.

Among SS501’s overseas fans, there were over 10 fans who stayed overnight 2 days prior to the recordings, at the broadcasting station in order to get the best seats for ‘Chocolate’ recording. About 100 fans weren’t able to get the tickets, so couldn’t get in for the recording, however they still waited at the venue till 11 am in order to catch a glimpse of SS501 going out.

SS501’s company representative said “Overseas fans came over to Korea to support SS501’s comeback activities. They stayed 1 week or more in Korea, and gave their support to SS501 for their broadcast activities. They also prepared health products in view of members’ health, and snacks like chocolates, cookies and sandwiches. We really appreciate their passion and love.”

SS501 has recently released an album and is promoting their title song ‘Love Like This’.

P.s. Overseas fans who are able to see them on tv shows live are lucky. Like I said earlier, it's so hard to be competing with Korean Triple S since they've also waited for this moment long. Also, they're hardcore when it comes to fandom. Korean fans [whatever group they are] are so passionate.

After 1 years and 7 months, group finally returned with the release of their mini album ‘Rebirth’ displaying their unchanged power, have released the music video for their title song ‘Love Like This’.

On 30-Oct morning, when the music video was released through SS501’s official homepage (http://ss501.dspenter.com) and GOMTV (http://gomtv.com), the link to the websites were overwhelming and became real-time search number 1.

Before the music video was being released, the teaser video that was released last week created much anticipation for this music video and the fans who have waited for this release have made many comment replies about the changed music style for this music video and its higher perfection for the music video, giving their support to them.

As soon as the album and mp3 were released for sale, they top the real-time charts and to commemorate the album sales, SS501 has prepared a special meeting with their fans. They will have a ‘stamp session’ with their fans who have waited a long time for SS501. On the day of ‘stamp session’, they will use a stamp made from members’ own drawings and signature. MTV 'Japan Korea Pop Music Craze' 3 days exclusive interview starting from 28 Oct New album 'Rebirth' give good results, releasing in Taiwan end of this month


SS501 held their 1st concert in Taiwan on 17 October. Upon arrival at Taiwan, other than rehearsal non-stop, they gave their exclusive TV interview to MTV music channel's 'Japan Korea Pop Music Craze'. They were very happy to meet their old friend MC Ken Wu again. During their previous visit to Taiwan, Ken Wu let them experienced their most unforgettable moment by tasting Taiwan's traditional bitter herbal tea. This time, he used marble soft drink to celebrate their full house concert. The 5 boys upon seeing the special means of opening the traditional marble soft drink, were very excited and found it interesting. The program had specially invited tarot card guru to read SS501's fortune. Unexpectedly, Park JungMin exposed some inside story on the spot, revealing that member HyungJoon has been wanting to go solo all this while and worried whether SS501 will remain together forever.

Originally the record company had provided some standard questions for SS501 to follow, unexpectedly this 5 boys do not play according to rules, and wanted to ask some 'real' questions! Knowing that using tarot card, they will be able to read their recent fortunes, all of them fight for their turn to ask questions. Kim KyuJong who was concerned of his health was reminded by the guru to take good care of his health. Heo YoungSeang asked shyly when he can find a girl friend, but only received response that due to the popularity and busy schedule of SS501, he would not be able to get a girl friend during this short period, YoungSaeng's face expression changed immediately and felt very disappointed. SS501 new mini album 'Rebirth' which has already been released in Korea on 20 October top major sales chart in Korea during its 1st day released. The main theme song 'Love Like This' was immediately raised to first place in Mnet.com and other major pop music chart. Their teaser MV which was just released online for a few days was also reached 40,000 hits! As for Taiwan, the 'Taiwan Limited Edition - Rebirth' album will start it sales from 30 October.

With the release of their mini album, SS501 certainly transformed themselves with choreograph and style of music that they have never tried before.

5-member idol group SS501 has changed entirely. With mini album ‘REBIRTH’ which all members are involved in after a period of 1 year 7 months, SS501 returned with not only changes to their appearance, but also wonderful transformation of their style of music. This album has been released on 20-Oct. It will also be released in 10 other Asian countries.

SS501 has changed their style of music completely for this album. A total of 5 songs were included, including title song ‘LOVE LIKE THIS (to me)’, exotic pop dance song ‘WASTELAND’, ballad song with beautiful melody ‘ONLY ONE DAY’, a completely new style of R&B song to SS501 ‘OBSESS’, and ‘GREEN PEAS’ written together by the members dedicated to their fans.

“In all, this album is more towards pop and its music is not something that SS501 had before. Mr Steven Lee is in charge of composing and producing the songs for this album. He has produced songs for famous Japanese group ARASHI and other famous foreign singers. All thanks to him, we are able to try pop music through this album and he helped us a lot while we did the album. In addition, because he is a American-Korean, he is able to feel the Korean sentiments to a certain degree.” (Kim HyungJoon)

Through the album jacket photos released, they showed a different image of what they had all these while, transforming with a breakthrough appearance. With smoky make-up, this idol group is filled with charisma, their transformed appearance and choreography is done by world-famous choreographer AJ.

In this transformation, SS501 will lead the trend in the music industry now.

“’Hook Song’ is very popular these days. Rather than going with simple melody, we want to breakthrough from that type of music and the emphasis for this album is to try to lead the craze with SS501’s own style. Everything looks good at the moment. Because this is a good album even when we listen to it ourselves. Because we produced this in a good mood, such a feeling can be felt strongly in the album.” (Park JungMin)

SS501’s transformation is first released to the public through a mini album as a market tester, thereafter to reconfirm their transformation in music before releasing official 2nd album by the end of this year or next year.

Recently, they held their very first Asia Tour concert since debut and sang the song to be included in their official album. The song is none other than ‘CRAZY4U’. It is indeed different from the existing style of SS501.

In any case, it has been a long time since all 5 members come back together this year. Kim HyunJoong and Park JungMin had appeared in drama ‘Boys over flowers’ and musical ‘Grease’ respectively while the remaining 3 members went into activities on their own.

“I am the leader during the times when 3 of us are doing activities together, so I would have to talk a lot be it in shows or interviews, now that HyunJoong and JungMin are back, it is definitely better for me. SS501 is certainly the best when 5 of us do it together than just 3.” [liezle : definitely this is Young Saeng talking]

SS501 unites once again. They have transformed with better stronger poses and musicality for their comeback. They have also matured more through each of their individual activities.

“Through each of our own activities, I felt that we have become even stronger. In fact, all of us have a lot that we want to achieve in music. HyunJoong hyung had a lot of considerations prior to accepting to act in the drama, saying that it would be great if all of us were to do it together. Fortunately, the drama is really a success and when we went overseas, we found that the effect of appearing in the drama is certainly great. The musical finished well too. While doing our own activities separately, it seems like our capabilities also grew.” (Kim KyuJong)

Vacation is official over. In a few hours i'll be going to report to work again. Geez, no exaggeration but I'm already missing Seoul.

Sigh...

Alright, I'm supposed to be sleeping now since I've to be awake in 3 hours or so. But before that, let me post first this HD version of SS501 performance that Shirley posted on her NEW YT channel shirbogurl.

When I saw the performance of the SS501 in Seoul, I wasn't able to savor it because my friends were all loading their luggage on the van and I was the only who hasn't moved from my seat because of SS501. It's only now that I'm back home, that I'm watching the clip.

As always they look gorgeous. They're captivating and I'm obsessed. But I think I like their Music Core performance better than Inkigayo. I think that the entrance in Music Core made it so exciting. But performance wise, I like both. Hot and 'dangerous' to my palpitating heart. ^^

Btw, we won't be taking my chance to Music Core tomorrow. Because as of tonight, there are already more than 250 fans lining up. If we want to watch we've to leave our place as early as 5:30am to take the earliest metro. But still there's no assurance if we can go inside to watch them. If I'm not mistaken SS501 portion is comeback, I was told that if it's comeback their portion is pre-recored.

There is another variety show that they will be appearing in. It's a new show which I forgot the title but SS501 will have a recording next week. Also SS501 will be in M Countdown next week. This is next Thursday.

Amongst the five I like Jung Min, Hyun Joong and Kyu Jong's look the best. I'm not too crazy with Maknae's thick make up as well as his costume. Also, don't like too much make up on Young Saeng. I like his mysterious look more than this goth look.

Before I start to post the photos that I just saw on SS601.com, I just would like to inform you guys that the Music Bank performance of SS501 this coming Friday will not happen. I was actually inform yesterday about this by Ji Yeon but forgot to let you know. Instead of MuBank KBS will be featuring basebhall.

Anyway, we'll get to seem them on Saturday at Music Core and Inkigayo. And we are lucky the we might just see some videos and photos of their show in Incheon [as reported here in Seoul]. Also on Wednesday, SS501 will be recording their guesting to Kim Jung Eun's 'Chocolate'. I don't know when the airing since I don't watch 'Chocolate' unless one of my fave idols is appearing.

Jung Min really did well on the ramp. He's like a real model strutting on the catwalk. I hope he does many modeling stints.
