[News] Kim Hyun Joong Admits to Plastic Surgery for First Time

In a shocking revelation, singer/actor Kim Hyun Joong admitted for the first time to having gone through plastic surgery on Thursday’s MBC “Knee-Drop Guru.”
For his flower boy image and clear-cut features, Kim Hyun Joong carries the nickname “Walking Sculpture.” So during the show, Kang Ho Dong, the MC of “Knee-Drop Guru,” asked Kim Hyun Joong, “Is the ‘Walking Sculpture’ a work of god or a doctor (plastic surgeon)?”
Without much hesitation, Kim Hyun Joong answered, “It’s god-given but the doctor put the finishing touch on it.”
He further explained, “I broke my nose a long time ago after getting hit by a stone. So I got the bones fixed and a little nose job done.” Throughout the interview, he seemed very confident with his looks as he went as far to state, that “I’m very satisfied with my looks. Can’t you just tell? I wouldn’t switch it with Yoo Sae Yoon (the co-host of the show).”
On Thursday’s episode, Kim Hyun Joong also talked about his decision to sign with Key East Entertainment, what it’s like to work with Bae Yong Joong (head of Key East), and thoughts on his growing popularity.
The former SS501 leader has released his first solo mini album “Break Down” on June 7th simultaneously across the entire Asian region. The first showcase for his new album was held yesterday following the release of the MV for “Break Down.”

This must have happened after the 100 questions interview and before Boys over Flowers. Good nose job! A well hidden secret because he did not fix the scar - many people would have consider doing it so ... might as well overcome the painful operation once and for all. I like his classic response ... "It's God given but the doctor put the finishing touch on it!" Ha ha ha

I'm not surprised, afterall his nose looks really different compared to during this debut days. Anyone who says he didn't do it, it's just makeup or he simply grew older is just fooling themselves. Whether or not he really broke his nose, we never know. Perhaps it's just an excuse to have plastic surgery. Now perhaps Jungmin will come clean one day too, about his nose.

ReplyDeletei, too fell in love with him because of his personality and then his looks was just an added bonus! i love that he was honest about it and answered truthfully. leader does have a lot of battle scars especially the one on his face which i've always noticed but he still looks just as gorgeous! =)
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to fix your nose when it's broken. Any ordinary person would've done the same thing. You can't really call this a plastic surgery. He didn't do it for cosmetic purpose. It's broken, for crying out loud!
ReplyDeleteYou can tell he did not fix his nose purposely because he did not bother cover up the scar. He did not mind talking about it openly either. This is so unlike many other Korean entertainers who really have something to hide. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteLol. He didn't change his nose he just got it fixed. Anyone who has ever had a broken nose 'knows' exactly what he is talking about and exactly why he did it. This will probably be blown way out of proportion but that's nothing new.
ReplyDeleteEither ways I don't care.He was asked point-blank but he came clean. He didn't deny and try to hide the truth. He is an honest guy. I actually think he looked very handsome even when he was young without any surgery. Can't see much difference.(Just check his school day photos)
ReplyDeletePlastic surgery is really prevalent these days esp for people working in his industry, world-wide. Nobody wants to talk about it and almost everyone who has done it keeps it a guarded secret.
I think it is nothing to fret about and shouldn't be made an issue of.
We love Hyun Joong for the person he is and good looks are indeed just a bonus.
totally..who cares if he had his nose fixed..we still love him as he is..i kinda liked the scar in his nose..that means he's a real man..if it's for cosmetic purpose we won't see the scar..but still,i don't care..i didn't like leader because he is handsome..it's just an added bonus..hehe..^^ personality still wins..and looks fade..ayt?

ReplyDeleteI heard this long time ago that he got hit by the nose and had to fix it. But still some people wouldn't believe it (I see a couple of comments above too, what a pity!). If they know of hyunjoong's personality, they can't say that... We don't call this kind of case 'plastic surgery'. If you had your nose broken, you would just leave it as it is, not FIXING it??? KHJ has been such a beauty from much younger days as we know. I'm glad the medical surgery wasn't a failure.
ReplyDeleteHyunjoong's popularity is zooming high..and it's likely that he will be the target of controversy..nose fixed or not who cares!!.the main factor why people draws towards him is foremost his good personality,there are a lot of celebrities who are talented too but KIM HYUN JOONG is very unique that people of all genres..young,old,men,women,mothers etc..adores him...this guy is very blessed w/ an awesome good personality and good looks to match!!it is just so good that he exist,kekeke^^
ReplyDeleteI thought even if he don't admit it...it is still quite obvious that his nose is quite different from the time he just debuted..keke... and btw I just noticed that...not sure if my eyes are playing trick on me again but I think his nose currently does not seems to look the same as the one he had during boys over flowers time...hmmmm...anyway such surgery is quite a common thing in korea showbiz...so is not really a big deal afterall...
