it is so quiet in baeland. but i'm certain that if yong joon will be attending the wedding tomorrow of ksw-sty it'll be different. ^^

08.26.09 yong joon sighting

yong joon was at 'gorilla in the kitchen' tonight!

yes, seems like he was at GIK at 6pm. he was wearing black jacket, white t-shirt and sunglasses. when he left his restaurant at 10:33pm everyone waiting for him formed a path for him to walk ^^. he was at GIK with lee philip. they used the elevator to go down then left on his maybach. according to the report as well, today is very fortunate because he was not wearing his usual sunglasses. ^^

[old video] yong joon at the premiere of 'make it big'

'make it big' is a 2002 movie which song seung hun and kwon sang woo starred in. when the movie had its vip premiere, yong joon attended to give support to song seung hun who also belongs to the same agency as him and song hye kyo in 2002. if i'm not mistaken this was also the time when yong joon and kwon sang woo met.

speaking of kwon sang woo, when the list of guests to his wedding on sunday, sept 28 came out many were surprised to see the name of yong joon. many did not know that they are friends. there was even a story last year that when yong joon was shooting twssg in jeju, kwon sang woo and song seung hun filming their movie 'fate' in the island as well, and so ji sub also filming a cf, the 4 found time to dine together. during this time as well, news that ksw was offered to join BOF but he declined and instead put up his own management company. geez, have you ever thought how it would be in BOF if yong joon, so ji sub and kwon sang woo in one agency? ^^

anyway, the wedding of ksw and sty will be star studded and like i mentioned yong joon is said to be attending [will he really?]. his buddies sjs will has also announced his presence. only ssh cannot attend due to present commitment to his drama 'east of eden'. aside from the 3 i've mentioned attending names such as lee byung hun, jang dong gun, choi ji woo, won bin, kim seung woo [another friend of yong joon] and many more stars will attending. in the news earlier, it was reported that 350 guests are invited. wedding ceremoy will be held at the Memoriz Hill behind the Guest House at 5:00pm and reception will follow at The Shilla Hotel.

with all the big names in the korean entertainment attending the wedding, security will certainly be strict. i'm crossing my fingers that we will see yong joon. but i read that the ceremony will be private though ksw and sty will give some pleasure to the press by posing in front of them for some photo op before the ceremony.

09.25.08 yong joon update

here's my understanding of yong joon's sighting today from the post of yuri ^^

at 2:50 yong joon was spotted going to the dermatology clinic. his maybach left after yong got off to go somewhere since there's no space to park at the parking lot. he was later picked up by his maybach then at 4:40 he went to the beauty salon. He seemed to have been in a hurry but he was still able to answer politely to the question of the korean family. he's in usual black attire. at 5:29 he left the salon without his hat on.

btw, congratulatons to so ji sub! his movie reached was able to reach 1,000,260 viewers as of yesterday. and on it's 3rd week the movie is still being shown in 243 theaters! since the beginning of the showing of the movie, ji sub has been visiting theaters almost everyday. tomorrow he will be in An Yang City then on saturday he will visit Dae Gu City. and on Sunday, he will be attending the wedding of this friend, Kwon Sang Woo. [i hope yong joon too!] ^^

as you guys would recall, i blogged about 2 weeks ago that the movie 'rough cut' is a low budget film with a production cost of only 650 million won and that the movie was given a 19+ rating. but the movie is now grossing 7 billion won. more than 10 times its production cost!

He went to the gym at 3 pm today and came out a little bit sweating at around 4 pm.

Today in the midst of the heavy rain, he did move his body little by little and as usual he gave a gentle smile to everyone in the family.

He was in dark blue training wear, his appearance particularly in brown sunglasses added to his smile to look more gently.

in another news, mariko also shared on soompi that the gosireh kimchi reportedly sold 98,000 pieces (about 139 million won) since it started selling on the 4th of Sept. wow! that's a lot of kimchi sold in a foreign country for less than a month. ^^

one more news for before the day ends in my country ^^ it was reported in some news that yong joon, together with many big korean stars like lee byung hun, jang dong gun, so ji sub, choi ji woo will be attending the kwon sang woo and son tae young's wedding on sunday, september 28.

surprised??? i was when i read it in the news articles posted on kob and byjgallery tonight.

geez, a wedding in october for yong joon and lee na young? i'm not saying that it's impossible. i like lny [29] and they've worked together in the 2001 music video 'goodbye my love'. she's one of the prettiest and good actresses around. and she's very in demand as an endorser.

anyway, i asked mariko's help to read the article as well and she confirmed what i read. in both articles, one from mydaily and the other one from SPN, it says that there is already a date and hotel reservation for the wedding in October. but lee na young denied it and even said that she doesn't have any plans of getting married soon.

i wonder what yong joon has to say about this? as you know both belong to the same agency, BOF. LNY signed contract with BOF on April 2006. could it be another demolition plan against yong joon. i mean he has been rumored to lee ji ah another BOF artist and when they cannot prove the relationship he is now rumored to lee na young? hmm...what gives?

last i heard, lny was dating jang dong gun. how true? don't have any idea but i read that when he was in the US i think last year during Rain's concert she was also seen there.

btw, lny has a new movie with japanese actor odagiri joe the movie's title is ‘Dream’ which is directed by award winning director Kim Ki Duk.

yong joon seems to be rumored with so many lee's lately, there's lee sa gang, lee ji ah and now lee na young. hee, and here's something which i'm sure not all of you know. i read before about 4 or close to 5 years ago [in old soompi before it crashed in 2005] i think that he was seen dining with another lee...lee hyori but she denied it.

09.21.08 yong joon update

yong joon was spoted today at 2:35 entering the beauty salon. he was wearing sunglasses, black jacket, white shirt, jeans and hat. after an hour he left the salon without his hat on. he waved and smiled to the waiting fans before riding his maybach.

hmm, i don't think that he goes to the salon that frequent for a facial or whatever skin treatment. i think he goes there to have his hair wash and some sort of treat to fans who he knows are waiting. because every after report that he went to the salon or clinic or cafe report just stop from there. ^^ what do you think?

btw, next sunday, september 28 is Kwon Sang-woo and Sohn Tae-young wedding. the wedding will be held a The Shilla Hotel.

i'm sure that it'll be a star studded wedding. i wonder if yong joon is invited.

I’ve traveled almost every part of Kangwon-do, but the pIace that comes up in my mind first is Hajodae, the pIace that I’ve stayed for about 3 months, two years ago. Its magnificent nature is well preserved, and there is very few people because that area is preserved as a resort for military personnel.

On a stormy day, I stood near the cliff of Hajodae, which was echoing the roll of thunder. The scene of the waves shattering into white foam was so magnificent that I think the memory of the scene will last till the end of my life.

I often speared fishes, and there was a funny episode with a fish named “Goonsoo”. The old fishers of the village told me that boiled ‘Goonsoo’ – a kind of sea mollusk whose size is about one feet - has a special taste. Hearing their advice, I became curious how it would taste, so I caught four large Goonsoos and put it in a large pot and boiled it. When the water began to boil, I opened the lid of the pot, and Oh my God! I was confused. Those Goonsoos were shrunken into the size of a finger! Anyway, whenever I think of Goonsoo, I still laugh.

I recently visited that pIace with Kwon Oh Joong, who became friends while shooting ‘Love Greeting’. That pIace gives me new impressions each time I visit there. Hajodae was the pIace that I ended the wandering of my youth, and was the pIace that I made a new start. Therefore it has a special meaning to me and my life.

Seeing the photos above, I'm reminded that my pale skin needs the beach. We have beautiful beaches in our country. Our beaches lure tourist to visit our country. ^^

hey, there's a sighting of yong joon today!

here's what i got got from yuri's blog about today's sighting.

at 1:30pm, he was said to have gone to the gym. he left an hour later after finishing a light exercise. he was wearing black baseball cap, black training suit, dark glasses.

yong joon then went to the beauty salon at around 3:30pm wearing black glasses, black hat, white hooded shirt for training and jeans. just before 5pm he went out of the salon. ^^

i hope he had a good rest during the Chuseok holiday. btw, i also hope that we can now get news about his latest project. ^^

btw, it is a sad day today in the stock market all over the world. after lehman brothers announced its bankruptcy. the parent company of the company where i work that based in NY is also in the news.

there's chaos in the office today explaining to people left and right that our company is not directly hit and that we are financially doing good. press releases here and there, script, memos and facts sheets distributed non stop. we even had the regulatory board that regulates the kind of business we have already issued press release that our company is stable and remains to be the number in our field. despite all of this i still can't help getting worried with what's happening in the financial world.

sigh.... stocks from $90 down to $4?! holy macaroni!!!

News About So Ji Sub

Since news about Yong Joonis hard to come by lately, here's another one from BOF's artist, So Ji Sub.

It's been in the news lately that his movie 'Rough Cut' is doing good at the box office despite having a 19+ grade and shown during Chuseok. After 3 days of screening [September 12-14] the movie was screen in 401 theaters with 265,727 attendance, gross taking of 1.852 billion won and with a total gross taking of 2.226 billion won. 'Rough Cut' is competing at the box office with 'The Divine Weapon' [Kr] and 'Mama Mia' [US].

This movie which Ji Sub also invested in has an investment capital of 1.5 billion won. According to saturn of so ji sub thread @ soompi, the movie needs 500,000 viewers to breakeven. I am certain that the movie will even surpass the breakeven mark with the good reviews that it is getting from viewers. Only if 'Rough Cut' not shown during mid-autumn holiday, the movie could have garnered more viewers early on.

Anyway, just for the info of the others, the other movie being show which is 'The Divine Weapon' has an investment of 10billion won. Again, according to saturn this movie has to have 3.3 million viewers in order to breakeven. So far, aftter 3 days, it only has 597,790 viewers since it's openning last September 4.

In another news related to So Ji Sub, it was announced by SBS that he will have his comeback drama come November via 'Dr Stop' which is previously 'Cain and Abel'. The drama was renamed due to difficulty in finding a top actor to play opposite with Ji Sub. Thus, the storyline also changed.


If airing is confirmed to be in November, Ji Sub's drama will be competing with Song Seung Hun's [his bestfriend] drama 'East of Eden' [MBC].

It was reported that casting has been completed and that filming will start in October.

Yeah, hopefully that i'll be aired in October not February as previously reported. I am really crossing my fingers and toes that he will be part of 'Drops of God' which might start production next year.

Agi Tadashi, writer/s of 'Drops of God' patterned Tomine Issei's features to Yong Joon. And since the announcement by KeyEast that they have concluded the contract for the copyright of this popular manga series from Japan, some of the fans are thinking that Yong Joon will get the role of Tomine Issei.

Tomine is the coldhearted adoptive brother of Kanzaki Shizuku who is cheerful and spontaneous. Both are competing for the the will [estate and wine collection] that Shizuki's father, renowed wine critic, Kanzaki Yutaka, left after his death.

Until now, BOF, BYJ's management company has not released any information as to what Yong Joon's character in the drama will be. Though there was a news yesterday from Times U.K. saying that, "BYJ's agency said that BYJ is seriously considering to personally act Kanzaki Shizku".

According to news, KeyEast has started to source for director, casts & writer for 'Drops of God' which Yong Joon is considering to take as his next project. The drama is set to start in the middle of 2009. The drama has two leading characters, Shizuku Kanzaki is the son of world-renowned oenologist,who is cheerful and spontaneous and Tomine Issei, a brilliant wine critic, for whom wine takes priority above all else. It was earlier reported that Yong Joon will take the role of Tomine Issei [but there is another report that he is considering taking the role of Shizuku].

Tomine or Shizuku?

Referring to the article which i earlier posted. Times reported that...

"BYJ's agency said that it is seriously considering (BYJ) to personally act Kanzaki Shizku", it showed difference from domestic reports that BYJ is most likely to be a character of 'Tomine Itse', rival of Kanzaki.

Hmm, if yong joon takes the role of Shizuku, he will then be playing the cheerful and spontaneous guy. The very opposite of Tomine who is coldhearted. But isn’t it that Tomine’s features according to the writers has the similar feature of Yong Joon? This could also be another reason why they still have not made any announcements yet. Like I mentioned earlier, technically yong joon will be in this drama but which role…we still don’t know yet.

If yong joon will be Tomine, I’m really excited to see him as the ruthless amongst the 2. but we will be stuck to yong joon with glasses.
