The last night of Hyung Jun performing at Cafe-In signals the beginning of him embarking his solo career as a singer. As what we've been reading for the past few days, Hyung Jun will be starting to prepare material for his solo album which will be released in Japan in March.

Last night is Hyung Jun last curtain call for the mucsical 'Cafe-In' where he played the lead role. It was a tearful farewell for Hyung Jun caught on camera by many of his fans. To show fans appreciation and to congratulate him as well fans threw to the stage pink paper planes.

“I didn’t know I have such brazenness hidden within me (laughs)”
Debuting via ‘Café In’ (Baekham Arts Hall), Group SS501’s Kim Hyung Jun was in a good mood during the interview. He agrees that his character is very similar to the ‘Ji Min’ in the story plot who is “also born naturally with a cheerful deposition.”
He is just like a bright untainted youth. For instance when he said, “When singing song could only stand on stage for 3 minutes but for musical, you can breathe in the same air and enjoy 1.5 hour with the audience so it feels very good.”
Although this is his musical debut, acting is considered to be proficient. He has to digest 2 roles at the same time as Café Barista Sae Jin’s (Sin Eui Jeong / Wo Geum Ji) partner, Sommelier ‘Ji Min’ and the gentleman ‘Jeong Min’. While acting as Ji Min, would differentiate by wearing rabbit teeth and glasses. Voices at this point would also be of a higher tone and behavior would also be more exaggerated.
“The first time round was very scary and nerve wrecking. Wondering if I could do well, although I was very worried, but once I stood on stage, I eventually adapted to it subconsciously. I have such hidden ability. Now, on the contrary, I often hear people telling me not to over-do it and so forth. (laughs)”
Of course, there has not been without mistakes. This can be considered as his worst mistake. Happened just a few days after the opening performance. When Jeong Min was to be transformed into Ji Min, he has forgotten to bring his glasses and rabbit teeth along on stage. “Suddenly the audiences’ expression did not look good. Gasping, and realising the mistake, ‘Oh, Wait a moment~’ I improvised and return to backstage to wear (my props) properly”. He demonstrated his ability to improvise and regain his confidence promptly.
What are your thoughts about being a member of a popular group challenging a new arena?
1, 2 years after debuting in 2005, was really excited. I thought everything seems to be going well…, I didn’t understand the harshness of the cold reality. Have already got rid of such delusions and have not experience them for a long time.
Born as an Idol so had to work extremely hard to achieve the status of new actor to perform in ‘Café In’. Have to greet everyone pleasantly, and also accept the guidance from the seniors with a thankful heart. Now he has become the “mood maker” in the dressing room, showing affection for people around him.
A few days ago his SS501 close colleague Park Jung Min came and showed his support. Park Jung Min has performed in ‘Grease’ last year, hence making him the musical senior. “He is always telling me that if I have any doubts I can bring it up to him and to treat him as a senior.” But “I have nothing I want to learn” (laughs). Although there was no questions for him, Park Jung Min still did not forget to show his warm encouragement by saying “I witnessed Kim Hyung Jun’s new look”. He also posted in his fan café that ‘in SS501 was totally unaware of it, but now was able to see a new side to Kim Hyung Jun’s charm”, hence he feels really happy.
Thoughts of the drama that you would like to challenge next year. “Leading role or supporting role it does not matter. It is good as long as the actor’s image has ‘Character’.”
Before his performances for ‘Café In’ ends in January, there are already plans for his solo album to be released in February. Being positive in everything he does, the future looks bright for ambitious youth Kim Hyung Jun.

Kim Hyung Jun (23) has many ambitions. He also agreed with being called the ‘Ambitious Idol’. As a person starring in the creative musical production ‘Café-In’, his schedule is very tight. Even with double casting, he has to perform on the 2-persons stage 3 to 4 times every week. After the evening performances, at midnight 2 am he still has to work as a radio DJ. For the solo album that is scheduled to be released end of Feburary, songs recording are also currently taking place. “Sleeping for only about 4 hours a day, wish to hear comments about being an “Artiste” who can do anything well.”
For around two and half months, spent 8 to 9 hours a day focusing on memorizing stage lines, practicing accent and voice projection. “Body gestures and actions for the music industry and for stage performances are very different. Recently upon seeing that the auditorium being filled up with many audiences will feel very happy, and accomplished.”
The musical ‘Café In’ which involves Kang Ji Hwan in the production, talks about a sweet love story between the Barista Sae Jin and Sommelier Ji Min who work alternatively between day and night in the same café. Kim Hyung Jun alternates between being the dating coach Ji Min and the sincere gentleman Jeong Min using different facial expression skills and voice tones. Relying on the familiarity on stage, his acting skills improved and confidence has grown. “Musical stage experience is helpful during the album production. Before singing, one has to understand the meaning behind the lyrics, and once you can empathise with the song then would be able to put in feelings when singing”
His own role model is actor Ju Seung Woo. When he is between late 20s and 30s, he wishes to be able to stand on the ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ stage, thereby showing his ‘ambitious’ side.
Musical ‘Café In’ would be having performances until next January 23 at SamSeong-dong Baekham Arts Hall.

Today's photos taken this morning of Hyung Jun were shared and posted by the shutterbug of Prettyboy on their website and another one. These set of photos were lifted from SS601.com.
Hyun Jun tweeted early this morning about giving bread to 30 people who will come and watch him at the musical Cafe In at 8PM tonight.
It looks like Hyung Jun bought rice cakes from the seniors who took part in the 100 person board meeting [not sure about this in another article i read MBC Celebrity Love to Share] earlier. And the rice cakes that he bought will be given to the first 30 people going to watch him tonight.

Kim will play the double role of sommelier Jimin and Jung-min in the musical, a love story about a sommelier and a barista whose ex-lovers get married as soon as they break up with them, produced by actor Kang Ji-hwan.
"Cafe In," which raised its curtains on November 24, will show at the Baekam Art Hall in Seoul till January 23.

At the PressCon with HJB by 501dg
Geez, 501_dg was also there at the presscon yesterday of Cafe-In where Hyung Jun will be the lead star and will start running on the 24th of November.
