I know that Se7en already has a huge followings in Japan. He's amongst if not the hottest k-pop artist from korea peforming in the land of the rising sun. I believe that he's bigger that Rain, Shinwa, TVXQ, Super Junior, SS501 and the rest of k-pop artists. Actually currently he's in Japan for his concert soon.
Heo Yi Jae, might be new to others but in Baeland some of you might have encountered her name. She's actually the 'baby' of BOF. She was contracted last year, i think in April. She was given a break in Jo In Sung's 'Dirty Carnival'. But she was noticed in 'Sunflower' opposite Kim Rae Won as a bubbly and loving daughter to his mom and a 'sister' to KRW. Ah, you should watch this film, it's very nice. Btw, in 'Sunflower' she won over 3000 candidates via audition.
Yi Jae's 2nd biggest break was when she was casted in 'Goong S' as palace maid Yang Soon Yi. She also underwent audition to land as the love team of Se7en who plays the role of the crown prince, Lee Hoo.Here's something that PD has to say about Yi Jae ~
About Heo Yi-Jae's Casting -
Q: How did you meet Heo Yi-Jae? What were your first impressions?
A: Actually, I didn't know who she was before the audition. I met her because I wanted a rookie actress for one fo the female leads. I saw her in person, I remembered a line from a Kim Nam-Jo poem: "Half the things you say are laughter". I want Heo Yi-Jae's bright personality to be reflected in the drama. Her pure and clean image is a huge advantage as a rookie. I'm glad to have her on the team.
Q: What about Heo Yi-Jae stood out the most?
A: There were many candidates, but she fit the image of Yang Soon-Yee the best. She is perfect for the role. I was a bit hesitant because she has no acting experience, but we'll get through it together. Through this project, she'll have to prove herself as a new star in the drama scene. She has to be born again as her character, and everyone including me has high expectations for her. I'll use my experience to bring out the best in her.
Q: What kind of collaboration do you want from SE7EN and Heo Yi-Jae?
A: What they have in common are their pure, clean images. But the depth of their pureness is hard to grasp, which is also very good. I want the viewers to see this in the drama also.

In Korean,this drama rated poorly which i really do not understand why. It's actually quite a good drama. Anyway, what is surprising is that the international audience love it! And i hope that the Japanese will love it too. I know that I've several Japanese who visit here, i hope that you guys will watch and give 'Goong S' a try.Btw, i think that KeyEast also invested in 'Goong S' same with 'Sunflower'. ^^

The Queen (played by myung se bin) is in her early 30s but still unmarried. Because of this, in a condition where there cannot be a reduction in the number of successors to the throne, the present prince (the 1st successor) suddenly leaves the world and leaves a vacancy in the line of successors.
So they go out to find the secret prince and finally find Lee hoo (played by Se7en), who has been living outside the palace.
Lee hoo is the son of a prince and his mother who died early, had departed with his father and left the palace, hiding the fact that she was already pregnant. He does not know that he possesses royal blood and has lived, working as a delivery boy at a chinese restaurant.
Although usually, he has wang ja byung (prince disease), he had never dreamt of entering the palace and receiving royal lessons.
Lee hoo, the unbelievable no 1 successor to the throne and the perfect Lee Joon (played by kang doo) will bring tension to the drama as they fight over the position.
After Lee Hoo enters the palace, an important place will be the royal academy. It is a place for members of the royal family as well as descendents of wealthy families.
The drama will also be about the romance between the characters.

Lee Hoo (Se7en): His blood flows in a Royal family, but Lee Hoo doesn't know it. Not knowing that he's a prince, he works at a Chinese Restaurant as a delivery boy...delivering food in the palace. He looks at everything in a positive aspect and is an optimist by nature. Though he's in poverty (poor), he lives every day freely...but one day, something happens and it's the start of his life as a royal.

But he himself does not know of this fact and works, delivering ja jang myun at a chinese restaurant in incheon. He is an affirmative and happy go lucky type of person. He is a delivery "jjang" of the chinese takeaway delivery world, and No matter how late he takes 7 minutes maximum for a delivery.
Even though he is not well educated, becuase he is so accommodating, he can get close, get on well easily with anyone. His problem is that he always confronts things with martial arts and kung fu.
In reality, he's not good at martial arts but because he can put out a good pose, there are ppl who get tricked thinking he is good. He's the type that starts off with words and fights with words. His comics are martial arts, movies also martial arts and although he doesnt read alot, the only books he reads are martial art novels. Suddenly ppl from the palace come looking for him.."I have royal blood running through me? What are you talking about?"
Hoo, who has been living as Kang Hoo has to change into Lee now now, and enter the palace and receive education....
Yang Soon-ee (Huh Lee-Jae): Everyone in the neighborhood knows Soon-Ae as an impracticable girl. She thinks preciously of her fraternal twin. But one day, she finds out that Lee Hoo is the boy that she grew up with as a child, and they start their life's together in the palace.
Lee Joon (Kang Doo): To become a prince, he recieved training as a mastery elite. He's a great candidate. Lee Hoo's appearance makes Lee Joon get farther away from becoming a prince. He's a perfectionist.
Shin Sae Ryung (Park Shin Hye): Honor and power, Sae-Ryung grew up in a wealthy family. She has never lost first place/spot at school (meaning she's very smart)...she has skills and the looks of becoming prince's wife. She always had the ambition of becoming a royal princess. However, the prince that she has always imagined of is completely different when she see's Lee Hoo's sudden appearance. A change comes to her way.

oh, yeah we at soompi who love the team up of se7en and yi jae are looking forward to their promotion in japan. like what i've posted se7en is already in japan preparing for his concert in june. we are hoping the BOF will soon announce that yi jae will join him and promote too. hee, as for me i'm looking forward that mgr yang will be with yi jae when she goes to japan. i want to see mgr yang with yi jae ^^
