Group SS501 whose full contract will end in June
have been involved in various rumours
like disbanding, transferring to another company etc,
but until their agency's CEO recovers from
his condition, they will not be discussing anything of it.
SS501's agency company DSP Media's representative CEO Lee Ho Yeon
underwent surgery in April
due to hemorrhage and is currently in midst of recovery.
With his situation now,
the company is currently in a state of emptiness (literally),
and what's with SS501 full contract
expiring on June 7 and member KimHyunJoong
already getting exploited by many
huge agency companies one by one,
thus igniting all kinds of guesses in the entertainment world.
To this, the involved party SS501 chose to show loyalty and courtesy
till the end
with regards to their CEO still lying in his bed and recovering.
After their CEO
improves with his condition, only then will they then discuss further
about this directly with both parties.
This was revealed by a close personnel who recently held a long talk
with SS501 members.
This personnel said on the 19th, "Obviously we haven't had decided for
anything yet up until now",
"If we were to talk about this now, the members felt it wasn't
reasonable to do it at such a time when their
CEO of the company who raised them up is in such a
state, and they are truly concerned about that".
He added, "Rumours revolving around each member's
moves including the group itself has been becoming a huge burden",
revealing how the members feel too.
If according to what this personnel has said,
SS501 will be focusing on their
promotional activities for new album that's to be released on 28th,
and will be patiently waiting for CEO's recovery from his bed back up again.
SS501 will be having their full-scale comeback beginning
June 4th with new album.
Also they will be performing on the 22nd (Saturday) at
Seoul Sangam-dong Worldcup Stadium for 2010 Dream Concert.

Thank you OdeDS and Liezle for this post. Our boys are truely the kindest, sweetest boys on this planet. Will be praying for the president's speedy recovery, and looking forward to the boys' comeback. This album will be like a precious gem that I will treasure and enjoy ^^.

I think the writer of the message is bias when he or she wrote that ...Hyun Joong Ssi is already being exploited by many huge agency companies one by one. Ha Ha ..that's funny. Exploitation means reaping benefits through the use of a person in order to gain as much as possible. Are the companies using Hyun Joong Ssi to gain benefits? They are only trying to offer Hyun Joong Ssi alternative choices, proposals or possibilities to choose from in relation to his career. It is only right to say that only one company benefits from the exploitation of the members of SS501 by making them work without an official contract! Who can that company be?

How long do they have to wait for the confirmation? Pity them! Popularity and oppotunities will not be there and wait for them. I hope the CEO gets better soon, and the boys' futures are not suspended for too long.
I love our boys for being so respectful and loyal to their CEO who have helped them in 5yrs to achieve what they have now! I hope that the CEO will be fine soon as possible for his sake and SS501! It's a big risk to work with DSP, or any other companies, without proper contract. As we already know our boys are so humble,one of the kindest people on earth, down to earth, etc, they are taking a BIG risk on deciding not to discuss about the contract since the CEO is still ill. I hope this will be over soon, so both SS501 and the fans don't need to worry anymore!!! If they ever decided on changing to a new company, i'm pretty sure they will still be as one! I don't think they will be any disbanding, i'm sure they're going to try their best and come up with a solution that the fans will love! And i'm also pretty sure that the boys would love to work as a group, and not individuals.

I know companies who are professionals in dealing with their clients are ready for their contracts way ahead of time not several weeks before they end .The company maybe assumes the signing is mere formality.But times have changed so with the members' needs and they saw what were lacking and negotiable .I also observed there is the use of emotional blackmail or psychologically crippling the SS501 members when they constantly harp they NURTURED them.
KHJ and the rest were so hardworking and persevering one could say they have paid they dues long time ago .
The press releases are also coming from the company so you'd expect they are protective of their interests. They are shaping public opinion that will weaken SS501 leverage in negotiation. Some are wondering why KHJ has a rope tied around his neck-could it be symbolic of what's going on ?
i totally agree with the comment above me. dude fans are not stupid ok (well atleast Triple S are not!!). as much as i sympathize with the president of DSP and i really hope that he gets well soon, a contract is not something that you discuss and decide a few weeks or even a month before it ends. IT IS A BIG DEAL!!!! especially considering that SS501 is DSP's biggest moneymaker. a matter as important as renewing a contract is discussed several months or even a year before it happens . for us as fans its just our love and admiration and support for the boys, but for the ppl directly involved (in this case DSP and SS501 members) this is their business, and if DSP still havent done anything about this, then it seems like people there really dont know how to handle their own job.
the worst part is that even though the boys will be promoting till the end of june, i fear that the spark in their attitude and personality will be missing when we start seeing then on shows doing promotions cuz they'll all be so tired and burdened down by these rumors, the constant questioning, and most of all the uncertainty of their future that we may not be able to see as much of our fun and adorkable boys. Sigh!!! i hope this is not the case!! Also like the person above me mentioned, i particularly sympathize with leader cuz even though all 5 members are in the same position,leader is the one at whom fingers are pointed at and whose name is bought up all the time regarding this issue. Unfortunately, this is the price of fame.
Just for everyone's info. From what I know the boys and DSP have been in talks about their contract since last year. What I'm thinking is that, they're probably at the final stage when the President got ill that is why everything is on hold until he gets better or when the promo for the album has ended since they've already compromised this to the fans [this is what i understand from the article i posted 2 days ago]. after june we'll probably get to know what will happen.

There is another issue connected with contracts.I am just an observer and may be do not know a lot of things but nevertheless really feel strongly about this commercialization of Hyun Joong in so many ways-there are many products launched in his name ,the latest are his pictures in poker cards of all things in Taiwan . According to the blog that even has the scans of the card it is not even an official product .
So who is taking care of KHJ interest here ,does he even know these merchandise exist ? Is the DSP involved or not ?
Now ,if KHJ approved all these then I have nothing more to say .

for me, i find it hard to belive anything that comes from DSP (not because of the negativities associated with dsp but i'm just dubious of the MEDIA in general). when they assure fans by saying certain things, it may not reflect the true feelings of SS501 members but sth that is scripted.
i dunno if i'm being too skeptical but i usually don't take anything dsp says to heart. always wanna hear the issue from the SS501 members themselves because i happen to trust their words more.
and somehow, like some of you said, fingers seem to be pointing at HJL mainly regarding all the contract issues, which is sad because more than one party is involved here. personally, i would be happy if he (or all the ss501 members) find a better management company than dsp and transfers.

But you cannot stop illegal use of pictures of stars. Outside the country esp when they don't have jurisdiction, illegal use of pictures and names is beyond the reach of DSP. Anyone can print pictures of SS501 names and pictures on Tshirts, playing cards, etc and DSP cannot pursue them. They are even illegal DVDs, CDs in different parts of Asia as what Leader himself witnessed when he was in Hongkong (BOF DVD). I don't know why some fans always blame DSP. Let us just wait and stop negativity. The boys knows what they are doing and knows what they want. They are no longer teens like 5 years ago. They are all matured and intelligent men.
Let us all think positive to bring out the good fortune for our princes bec I believe negativity and animosity brings out bad karma.
I am a new fan of SS501 but I got turned off by the attitude of fans. Now, I will not be a fan anymore. It pissed me that some fans are acting as if they own the boys, that they know everything, blaming someone, blaming the company. This is not healthy and I am not enjoying anymore.

Will DSP do it best for them, if they renew the contract??? Doubt it!
I actually feel sorry for all five of them, especiall Leader. He already take back a lot for the sake of the group, and for the thing so called loyalty.
I wish them the best, and i wish that the CEO recovers soon and makes a fair and wise decision for all parties.
