Countdown begins for Dream Concert

Last time we all saw SS501 together on stage was last April 25 at Saitama Arena for the Hallyu Fan Card Concert. Doesn't it seem like it's been ages? With the current issues going on, the lack of news about SS501, on top of the building anticipation for the comeback we're all craving for SS501, right?

Though we are still waiting for the date of SS501 comeback, seven (7) days from today, it is certain that we are all going to see them again performing on stage. On the 22nd of May, at 7PM, at the Seoul World Cup Stadium is the much awaited 2010 Dream Concert. Are you anxious?

Most idol groups will gather in this much talked about concert. Fifty thousand or more fans will gather in the stadium to cheer for their favorite. The stadium will be filled again with fans uniting to support their favorite artist performing on stage. The stadium will once again be decorated with balloons of different colors representing the colors of the idol they rooting for. Storm of noise and thunderous cheers will be again flooding the whole stadium.

Since the announcement of Dream Concert participants, fan clubs have been busy preparing how they will show their love to their favorite. For Triple S, I've seen some suggestions on what they're going to do with their glow sticks. I've also read a suggestion made by DSP staff on how each fan clubs would be supporting DSP idol groups while performing on stage. Ahhh, DSP love. ^_^

As I guess most of you know, SS501, Kara and Rainbow will all be participating in this year's Dream Concert. First time for DSP to have all their talents participate is such event. For SS501 this will be their 2nd time joining Dream Concert. The first time was in 2008. Kara is also participating for the 2nd time. Their first appearance in Dream Concert was in 2009. As for Rainbow, this will be their 1st time to join as they just debut this year.

I have mentioned earlier, a suggestion was made for each fan club of DSP's idol groups to support each other on the big day. Here's the suggestion on what the fan clubs are supposed to do: whoever is on stage performing, all fan clubs will be putting up and waving the group's balloons and/or glow sticks. By doing so, though smaller in numbers compared to other group idols, when combined, a unity ensues from this simple gesture.

To give you an idea how it will look like, here's a photo of World Cup Stadium seat plan with the shades of each of the idol/idol group's color [red is Lee Hyori, former DSP]. As Rainbow's fan base is still small I know that they were also given a designated area near the other DSP idol groups area.

Amongst fan clubs of DSP's idol groups I know that they support one another. I hope that the suggestion of the staff is being considered by all the fan clubs. Like I said, the seats that were assigned to DSP's fan clubs maybe smaller compared to the others but TripleS, Kamilia and Prismatics [is this how Rainbow fans are called? miane if wrong...] uniting as one would surely make a big difference.

Won't it be really nice if we can see a big 'Sea of Green', 'Sea of Light Pink/Peach' and whatever color Rainbow represents on May 22 at the Dream Concert?

This photo surely looks like green peas, yah?

To end this post, I'm pretty sure that everyone is curious as what SS501 will be performing. Would they give us a teaser from their new album? Or would they be performing songs from Rebirth?

My take [though I may be wrong]? No new song unless announcement of the comeback is in the news next week. ^^

This is the best time to announce the coming out of the new album ...perform the new songs and the dances that go with it at the Dream concert

This is just my opinion, and not intend to offend any one.

I might be supporting KARA more if I don't feel that DSP is promoting more of KARA and ignoring SS501. Don't know if it has anything to do with SS501 contract expiring, but I feel like DSP is using SS501 to help promote KARA and Rainbow while it doing nothing to help promote SS501.

I really hope they debut their new song at Dream Concert! It'd be an explosive way to begin comebacks (which will hopefully be the following week)! At the very least, they should perform "Wasteland" or "Obsess" since only TripleS have seen those fantastic "REBIRTH" songs live. ^^
But what I REALLY hope for (besides the title track) is "CRAZY FOR YOU"! I don't think "Crazy4U" is their new title track, but it'll probably be in the new mini-album, and since they already have the choreography down and have performed it multiple times at Persona, they can perform it at Dream Concert to entice the kpop audience. Like "If you like this new song, wait til you hear our title track and the rest of the album!" :D *crossing my fingers*

By the way, Liezle, Karaholic and Prismatic7 are the names of Kara and Rainbow's international forums, like our Quainte (where is that name from anyway?). Kara's official fanclub name is Kamilia (like the flower, except "Kara Family"), and their color is peach, I think. I'm not sure if Rainbow even has an official fanclub or color (all colors?) yet since they debuted just last year? ^^; Can't wait to see the "Sea of DSP Love" though! <3

Sometimes I agree with Anon@2:18AM because it really seems like Kara has so many endorsements lately (which I'm happy about) while there's no sign of SS501 (besides HJL's many ads), but I don't know if it's because Kara's management is better than SS501's within DSP. Maybe it's just because they're really "hot" right now, like 2PM, while already established and highly popular groups like SS501 and SuJu don't get requested as often because they're not the newest hip things and are probably more expensive? In any case, I hope TripleS will support the other DSP family members, just like SS501 supports them. ^^

It may seem like DSP doesn't do anything for SS501 because they're so silent about plans and progress! We're just left with media/fan speculation, any hints from the boys themselves, and THEN "official DSP announcements" that are usually too late. -_-; But I still think that DSP really cares for SS501, and feelings aside, are perfectly aware that SS501 is their biggest and most lucrative act. They probably have a lot of plans with them, but there's never any updates from them! :P Also, SS501 always seem to run into some obstacles in their paths, and while I love the boys even more for their determination and perseverance, I can't blame all unexpected problems on DSP. *shrug*
