[Trans] Baek Seung Jo's Diary #2

Did you enjoy reading Baek Seung Jo's Diary #1 HERE? Dairy #2 is UP and it came in two parts! Much thanks again to reena29shadow for doing the translation.

In Diary #2, Baek Seung Jo might think that Oh HaNi is a pest but we all know that something is already developing. ^^

Please DO NOT hotlink images as I used ImageShack to host these images. Thank you.

So, Baek Seung Jo mom traumatized him at an early age because of the dressing up as girl when he was still a kid. He doesn't trust so easily now. TT

Aha! Woot...woot! A point for HaNi! Though HaNi sticks with him like a gum and really making him so irritated, he acknowledged her perseverance. Go HaNi!

Thanks very much to reena29shadow!! These are fun and quite insightful. I agree, it would've been better promotion if they had released these after each episode. Or better yet, they should've written the show from both Hani and SeungJo's POV, with internal monologues from both, to explain how the two characters change because of the other. I think it would've made this adaptation different and more interesting.

For example, the show didn't really explain SeungJo's childhood trauma that well. Now that I read his "diary", I can see why he's like that. Not only does he have trust issues with his Mom, but he distances himself from people, even pre-emptively pushes them away with his cold, mean, stuck-up side, because he thinks they will dislike him as soon as they see his bad side anyway. He accepts admiration, but he doesn't have real friends. This shows why Hani gets to him, because no matter what he does, she still stands by his side and likes him and cares for him, flaws and all. He can't trust people easily, but he sees Hani's sincerity. I really wish this had been written into the show more, because it makes their growing relationship even sweeter. ^^

Yes agree. This childhood experience makes him sceptical to anyone who says they like him except Hani who mentioned she like him since first year in High Sch and that really moved him. Futhermore, Hani never seems to give up and she can't hide her feelings, she's just so innocent and naive.
