Thanks for sharing.
hear ye, hear ye... i just read an article that KeyEast is willing to support the whole SS501 members and their activities.... what say TripleS/Green Peas? is it a good move for our love ones to join another company? this should be an eye opener for DSP ---- but come to think of it DSP seem not to care to lose a group; look what the company did to their previous famous group like sechies, finkl and lee hyori these groups did not renew contracts with DSP.... hmmmm
sounds nice...but its from allkpop, who reports almost all kinds of news regardless of level of reliability. I guess we cant take it too seriously since its not not an announcement from the boys nor KeyEast themselves? :)
I see a lot of comments in many places referred to sechies and finkl as example of how bad DSP was with other groups. Can someone tell me what happen to those group? I tried to google for more information but nothing came up. What did DSP do?
To the above anonymous - Sechskies was one of most popular idol group back then in the 90s (rival with H.O.T). They had 3 albums, 1 movies, countless of successfull music projects; they also won several DaeSang awards. They were big and famous, the cash cow of DSP. SAdly, they disband only after 3 years of activities due to the bad management of DSP. Some of the many reasons are: unfair treatments, corrupted, unreasonable share of earnings,...
Their last performance was at 2000 Dream concert. It was the saddest perf, the whole stadium, including non-Sechskies fans cried. All six of them cried so bad that they couldn't even finished the song and speech. After that, thousand of their fans became anti-DSP. Yeap, it's the truth. Check out Sechskies Soompi thread for more info.
I wouldn't be surprised for SS501. All of DSP's groups disband either before of right after the contract ended.
Cont. - Some of you may wonder why SS501 was kind of under-rated and ignored by some of the major's entertainment blogs/portals back then or even until now. It's due to DSP's not so good reputation. They don't hate to group, they dislike the company behind it. Sad ne..!
Lt, thanks for the reply and info.
So DSP wasn't just bad to SS501, but to lots, if not all, of the groups in their company. That totally do not make a good business sense. Good luck to Kara and Rainbow.
Key East seems to be treating Leader well. So I hope the other 4 members could find nice company(ies) that will treat them well also. Would like to see them regroup again sometime in the future as SS501.
I think KeyEasy treats hj quite well too. They give me the impression that they respect the opinions of the artistes themselves and try at best to accommodate the needs of both the artiste and the management.
