I have been thoroughly following the voting status of this on SS601.com. And TS Korea have been really doing their best to make Jung Min on top and their effort paid off last night.

In the Musical New Talent section, singer Park JungMin (SS501) in musical ‘Grease’ won the 1st place followed by YeSung (Super Junior) in ‘NamHanSanSung’.
‘Interpark Awards’ started from 2004 and was renamed to ‘Golden Ticket Awards’ in 2008, classified into ‘Golden Ticket Best Work’ where they total the popularity in different categories of works and ‘Golden Ticket Ticket Power Award’ choosing rookie actors, musicians, performer organization, etc.
‘Golden Ticket Best Work’ takes into account the sale (30%), Interpark Ranking (30%), Genre-Classified Ranking (30%) and Netizen Voting (10%). ‘Golden Ticket Ticket Power Award’ is chosen by the ‘Ticket Power’ index which is the total number of performance in the year to the ticket sale results per performance, and Netizen Voting (10%).

When the solo career [sub-group for YS, KJ and HJB] of SS501 took off last year [actually 3rd quarter of 2008] , there have been many doubts whether they can make it or not. With the young boys' hardwork and determination they were able to prove that they can also be at their best as solo artist with SS501 still attached to their name.
The sub group [known as Triple S] , composed of Young Saeng, Kyu Jong and Hyung Joon garnered much attention with thier album U R Man. They've reaped awards from the song 'U R Man' and Because I'm Stupid.
Hyun Joong no doubt became a household name with his role as Yoon Ji Hoo in 'Boys Over Flowers'. It gained him a lot of recognition and he was even considered to be amongst the Hallyu Stars at the end of 2009.
And now Park Jung Min, winning New Talent award from a musical award giving body. He has also brought the musical 'Grease' to a top position in terms of ticket sales.
Again congratulations to SS501! I hope they'll continue to reap success in 2010.

Chukahamida Jungmin ^.^ It's really great that each of their solo efforts are so well received and recognized. I'm really proud of these guys. I can picture how gleefully happy Jungmin must be to receive this news hehehe. If only they sell the DVD of Jungmin's Grease Musical. I will so buy it.
