News about Bae Yong Joon

It's September and it's going to be an exciting month in Bae community since this month Yong Joon will start doing activities for his book and Anime Winter Sonata.

Since I wasn't able to log on to soompi earlier, I wasn't able to post stuff in my blog that were shared on BYJ thread @ soompi. Now I taking this page to put interesting read, photos and artworks shared by some baesisters.

Here they go...

In 24-hour NTV Charity Program, YJ signed t-shirts that were auctioned. The final price of the each shirt that were auctioned amounted to 320,000 yen [a piece, k?] The total for the two shirts amounted to 640,000 yen. Two female fans won the auction.

Regarding the publication of Yong Joon's travel book. Joyce Lee shared this piece of interesting news which she got from Baidu.

During one of the news conferences, YJ was asked which are his recommended tourist attractions, but he failed to reply immediately, this memory left him feeling guilty and hence he planned to write about this travel book. Since then, YJ spent more than 1 year’s time traveling around Korea before starting to write on the book. Besides taking photographs personally, he even studied the cultures from the craftsmen.

In the introduction section of the book, YJ said, “As beginner to learning the Korean culture, this book is my immature but truthful travel records.” He also revealed a little wish – hope to dedicate this book to everyone who likes Korea, and wants to understand Korea.

Hee, I think that embarrassment must have really hit him hard that he thought of making a book. Now if he's asked he has plenty to say.

Yay, he dedicated the book to those who like Korea and wants to understand the country. Geez, I love going to Korea it's a place in Asia where there's so much things to explore and learn. In October it's my third time going there and I'm crossing my fingers to go again next year probaly Spring [cherry blossoms] is I've money].

Last one I'm going to share is this article that again Mariko shoved on BYJ thread @ soompi. I've heard and read abut Lee Soo Hyun's story and it so heartwarming to read that BYJ fans of B.S.J before and now People Who Love Bae Yong Joon-san (PESASA) is continuing to support LSH Asia Scholarship. I'm pretty certain that Yong Joon knows about this and he's so proud of this family.

In conjunction with Bae Yong-joon’s 37th birthday on Aug 29, the People Who Love Bae Yong-joon fan club (PESASA) donated approximately 9.4mil won to the Lee Soo-hyun (LSH) Asia Scholarship foundation. The LSH foundation supports Asian students who are studying in Japan.

Lee Soo-hyun was a Korean studying in Japan. On Jan 26, 2001 the selfless man jumped onto the subway tracks at the Shin-Okubo Station to save a drunken Japanese who had fallen over. Lee was killed.

PESASA is a Japan-based fan club that initiated the project for their beloved BYJ. The group rounded up fans from Tokyo, Hokkaido, Aomori and Fukuoka to make the project a success. Two hundred and six BYJ fans donated to the cause, which their idol whole-heartedly supports.

This rather unique birthday present has taken BYJ by surprise. A rep from his agency is flabbergasted by the show of generosity and grateful to the fans for their contribution.

Apart from that, BYJ is set to publish a book in September. The book, which the fans have translated to The Journey in Search of Beauty of Korea, contains information on the culture and traditions of Korea as well as interesting sights of the country.

BYJ, who is lovingly known as Yonsama in Japan, will fly to the land of the rising sun to promote the book on Sept 29 and 30.

If I'm not mistaken, he's already 37. As long as he's happy with what he has, he doesn't need to be married.
