[Article] Young Saeng Achieved No. 1 in Hanteo

Great news! Congratulations and hope more success in the coming weeks as we want Young Saeng to win an award. A difficult task but I think it's doable if we put out heart and mind to it.

Thanks to Ode for translating this on her blog.

SS501 Heo Youngsaeng has ascended on Hanteo Chart's Weekly No.1 throne.

On May 12, Heo Youngsaeng who's released his first solo mini album 'Let it go' had achieved No.1 for Realtime results on the Hanteo Charts with his album sales, and also No.1 on the Daily Charts. In addition to this, the total album sales across 4 days (until May 16) has also been calculated as a total of 17,000 pieces, which is thus No.1 on the Hanteo Weekly Charts. This is a very luxurious opening to his solo debut.

Heo Youngsaeng broke out of the impressions of everyone by singing a dance track 'Let it go' instead of ballads, and has successfully showed a different side of his from SS501 days. He has since been receiving good comments like 'Rediscovery of Heo Youngsaeng' from the masses.

For an idol group singer like Heo Youngsaeng, he's also been showing signs of unusual success digitally-wise. Though usually an idol group-borne singer who turns solo after that could not achieve as good results digitally-wise when compared to album sales, for Heo Youngsaeng's case, he's managed to maintain his ranking in the Top 10 charts of music sites like MELON, Bugs, Dosirak, Soribada etc, and has also been receiving good responses with his stages through music programmes.

It is going to be tough as Beast has released their new album today. But groups usually has advantage, so Young Saeng's performance for the first week should be encouraging to him. More important are the good reviews that he is getting. I have no clue how those digital chart works but Korea do have too many of such charts. So confusing.

YS is very lucky. there aren't much competition for YS unlike the tough competition JM had to go through.....even HJB. his timing is good. that's not to take away anything from him... he just has it more easier than the other two. can't wait to see HJL's CB and who his competition is going to be.
