I was surprised to read that Jung Min is back in Korea today. My guess is that he is back for the coming Chuseok Holiday.
For those who are new and want to know what Chuseok is: Chuseok is a major harvest festival and a three-day holiday in Korea Celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. Chuseok, also known as the Korean Thanksgiving day. The celebration starts on the night before Chuesok and ends on the day after the holiday. Thus, many Korean families take three days off from work to get together with family and friends.
As a celebration of the good harvest, Koreans visit their hometowns and share a feast of Korean traditional food. They often visit the tombs of their immediate ancestors to trim plants and clean the area around the tomb. Offer food, drink, and crops to their ancestors. Harvest crops are attributed to the blessing of ancestors.
Chuseok starts on the 11th of September and will end on the 13th of September.
Here are photos of Jung Min taken at Incheon Airport from No. 43 Park. Thanks to iamsom for the tweet as well as thePJM_FC.
